Registration Verification from Saudi Council

World Registration

Published

Hi! Been following the discussion about verification of nurse registration since last week and I decided to join this site to get some help and be of assistance, if possible.

Currently, I am applying for Further Assessment in Alberta's College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). At this stage, the only requirement I need is the Verification of Registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or known as the Saudi Council. I was advised that it is done online so I paid and received a Certificate of Good Standing via email in a matter of minutes. I thought everything was fine but the problem has just get started from that point.

Two weeks ago, I sent the said certificate electronically but they advised me to have it printed and sent directly from its source that is Saudi Council. So I went there a couple of days back to ask them to send it as it is the requirement of CARNA (with the fee of sending to be paid by me) but they declined my request. They just gave me an envelope and instructed me to send it myself.

The dilemma did not end there because last night, CARNA emailed me that the certificate does not include the Initial Date of Registration and that their Nurse Consultant will call them with this concern. As for my end, I am planning to go back there and have the Verification of Nurse Registration Form filled up in addition to the good standing certificate. However, I would like to hear from you guys who have the same concern or been processing their CARNA registration or with any other jurisdiction (eg., NMC UK, AHPRA) that requires registration verification from Saudi Arabia.

Thank you!

Hi Edong

just want to verify something. I just got my Saudi council renewed so I am still in stage 1 on my NMC application. I was able to get my original copy of Professional accreditation certificate from my employer. Do the Saudi Commision offer translation services and do they certify them as true copies? Also, do I need to send certified true copy of the Arabic one or just the translated copy? Thank you!!!

Hello! NMC pack 1 requires an English translation of your SCFHS Professional Accreditation certificate. You can do it in SCFHS Riyadh which offers a translation service for the Professional Accreditation certificate which costs SAR 300. Another option for you is to have it translated in a nearby official translation office in your workplace which will only cost you about SAR 50. I had my Professional accreditation certificate translated through the second option, and NMC accepted it. I am now in the 2nd stage of application. God bless!

Hi EdOng! It has been a long time since I visited this forum. Did you receive the decision letter already? NMC sent out the 2nd application pack last 14 August, and I am expecting to receive it anytime next week. Cheers!

Thanks Edong!

have you guys heard about the new requirements of NMC? There will be online exams and OSCE. :(

I think I'll just pursue my CARNA application

Yes, I've seen the NMC update a month ago, and we have no choice but to comply to the standards and requirements for the NMC registration. Keep your hopes up!

Thanks @stylish_gem! I used the 2nd option as well.

Sir,

I would just like to say you have been very helpful and your posts are very informative. I would like to ask the total amount you paid for the schs verification and for the courier service?

Also, I would also like to ask, aside from the SCHS license, what are the other documents needed to be presented? (copies of documents from school is the college diploma? prc board certificate?)

Thank you very much!

hi kate,

im done with my 1st pack, regarding the professional accreditation, as far as I know, there is translation services in Saudi council, but it costs more, whereas when you go to a certified translator, you will spend about 70 riyals only. Your certified true copy of professional accreditation certificate will be attached to the translated one! goodluck

Thanks Edong!

yup, but I think this will be an advantage since it will only take like 1 day to do the practical after you passed the online exam.

Hi Arya, it costs 180 SAR last April and I only presented my Saudi License. Don't forget to bring your debit card for the payment as they do not accept cash there.
