Registration Verification from Saudi Council

World Registration

Hi! Been following the discussion about verification of nurse registration since last week and I decided to join this site to get some help and be of assistance, if possible.

Currently, I am applying for Further Assessment in Alberta's College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). At this stage, the only requirement I need is the Verification of Registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or known as the Saudi Council. I was advised that it is done online so I paid and received a Certificate of Good Standing via email in a matter of minutes. I thought everything was fine but the problem has just get started from that point.

Two weeks ago, I sent the said certificate electronically but they advised me to have it printed and sent directly from its source that is Saudi Council. So I went there a couple of days back to ask them to send it as it is the requirement of CARNA (with the fee of sending to be paid by me) but they declined my request. They just gave me an envelope and instructed me to send it myself.

The dilemma did not end there because last night, CARNA emailed me that the certificate does not include the Initial Date of Registration and that their Nurse Consultant will call them with this concern. As for my end, I am planning to go back there and have the Verification of Nurse Registration Form filled up in addition to the good standing certificate. However, I would like to hear from you guys who have the same concern or been processing their CARNA registration or with any other jurisdiction (eg., NMC UK, AHPRA) that requires registration verification from Saudi Arabia.

Thank you!

hello sir edong. thank you for the reply. i did call the nmc regarding my concern. They told me that they have mislooked it. The translated document i provided was just fine. i already rcvd my pack 2. thnx a lot.

now, i got a new problem, since they require verification of the reg cert from saudi council. i should send the form to saudi council right? and have them fill it up. do i need to get hold of the good standing cert also and should be attached to the form from nmc? i will just ask someone from my previous co worker for the hr ro help me with this.. and i really hope they have big hearts to help.

what exactly i will have to say and do? so that i could explain it to them. will saudi council do it? and send it back to uk?

will wait for you response. tnx a lot sir!

Hello. Yup, you should send them the form as they shall fill it out and send it back to the UK. With regards to the Good Standing Certificate, it is not a requirement though it may be used as a supporting document because it has the link to where the cert can be checked.

I don't know how long would it take for a branch to process a verification form since the one here in Gassim, based from what the staff there told me, sends it to the main SCFHS office in Riyadh. The processing is roughly around 3 months according to them. For this one, I don't think your employer could help you unless they are kind enough to assist. My advice then is that you should ask a former co-worker to do it on your behalf.

i already called my co worker and will send the form this week. i hooe it could be done in dammam.

if that would be the case, is there a way i could track my documents when it is in riyadh? or numbers to call? will they entertain someone's queries regarding that?

tnx again sir.

Yup you may for they will provide you with a tracking number. The last time it was Aramex that the main office made use of to send my document to London. I don't know how the process would be in Dammam branch, but I hope once the document is ready they shall send it to NMC themselves as I had a disastrous experience when Gassim branch did not.

i called up nmc earlier and asked about it. they told me that i could send it to them through my address in phil. a good standing certificate will be just fine as long as they could get the original stamp from saudi council to the form they provided. its very confusing.

one more thing. they are requiring police clearance from all the countries ive resided. i have read about this, thay it is impossible to get a clearance from saudi especially if one is not there anymore.they only give this PC if you are still in saudi and should be process personally. do you have any idea about this? i forgot to ask nmc if i could just get hold with police clearance and nbi instead.

nbi and police clearance from philippines i mean sir.

I don't think that the certificate of good standing is enough as they really require the verification form, that's how I understand what they told you the way you wrote it. They will accept the good standing cert coming from you only as a supporting document but they would need the said verification form to come directly from the SCFHS.

About the clearance from the authorities, I came across this thing just now for I don't have any idea regarding this. You may however secure a police clearance even you are already outside the kingdom. Hi there.. i've read all your comments and posts in this topic and i've got the information that i need... but i have a diffirent case with you guys.. i just came here in canada last july 14, 2014.. i worked in saudi for 1 yr (i didnt finished my 2 yr contract) and in that case, the hospital didn't give me certificate of employment... and this hospital is very selfish bcoz they didn't give us any copy of your registration in SCFHS... they DID NOT GIVE us tthe original or even a photocopy of our SCFHS LICENSE CARD/ID, and PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION CERTIFICATE... we didn't even know our license number/registration number and they didn't even consider giving us the license number even if you humbly ask and cry for it. But luckily 5 days before i left saudi, someone told me to call there service number and inquire about it and fortunately they were able to tell me my license number thru my passport number.. so when i got my license number i immediately requested for a GOOD STANDING CERTIFICATE.. but as of now i'm struggling on how can i request for a copy of my license and professional accreditation certificate since i'm already outside of the kingdom..

I'm planning to apply for assessment to qualify for the RN exam here in Canada in the near future.. and i found out that those documents from SCFHS is also a requirement for the assessment.. but for now i only have my GOOD STANDING CERTIFICATE... i learned that the regulatory body will ask for the verification of those documents.. can you please correct me if im wrong with my inderstanding with what you've talking into this topic..

-You have to pass those documents from SCFHS (license, professional accreditation certificate, certificate of good standing) in your application.

-But then even if you passed the copies of those documents, the regulatory body will still ask for the verifiaction of those documents that will come directly from the SCFHS? Am i correct?

It would depend, as in my case, I only submitted my Cert of Good Standing and they did consider it based on the circumstance that I was under during my further assessment stage. Actually they did ask me to have the verification form accomplished by SCFHS or just disregard my Saudi work experience. Fortunately my assessor was considerate enough and she accepted the good standing certificate as proof of my registration even without the said verification of nurse registration form being accomplished.

-so you mean you didn't passed the copy of your SCFHS license card and PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION CERTIFICATE (the one in arabic)? And as what i understand you sent the VERIFICATION FORM (to be filled up by the SCFHS) but the SCFHS didn't comply to answer the form and send it back? Lucky you they accepted your registration application..

-i'm afraid that they're now more strict with the requirements than before..new rules and more more to go.. it would be hard for the future applicants then..

The thing is that I first submitted the Good Standing Cert before they asked me to try to have the Verification Form accomplished. Yes I did not as they never required me to forward those documents. Maybe if I requested the SCFHS main office to do the sending and all instead of the branch, I think I did not experience such an inconvenience because I got no problem when I had my NMC UK Registration Verification Form filled out and sent. So better approach the office in Riyadh in case you'll need the verification of your practice license.

hi.

i am also on nmc pack 2 and also have to do saudi council verification. i asked my friend who happens to be in charged of saudi council application in my previous hospital where i worked in riyadh to do it for me. but the contact person advised him to ask me to mail the form to them directly and then they will send me a letter containing instructions and payment. once done, they will send the completed form directly to nmc.

im not sure if this will work. but i will call saudi council this week for further information.
