  1. @ yanathewanderlust: You can ask your friend to go directly to SCFHS Jeddah to process your unregistered practice form. I did not go there personally when I did my unregistered practice form, but I am sure that the staff there already know what to do, so there's no need to worry. Good luck!
  2. Hi, Mich! Saudi Council in Jeddah is still processing verification of registration forms from NMC. In fact, I was told by a friend under the new scheme that she did it in Jeddah in mid-March of 2015, so it would be advisable for you to process your VOL at Jeddah branch too. Just submit a copy of your good standing certificate, Saudi Council ID, Professional Accreditation certificate from SCFHS and COE along with the VOL form to Saudi Council-Jeddah, and you will get it on the same or next day. It's your preference to ask SCFHS to send it directly to NMC via DHL or you may just send it yourself. All the best!
  3. Hello, prinsesitayas! You should request for the unregistered practice form first from NMC via phone or email. Then, you need to bring it to Saudi Council office in Jeddah for signing and stamping. SCFHS Jeddah is the best place to process your unregistered practice form compared to the main branch in Riyadh and other provincial branches because the staff will not ask you too many questions. You don't have to request anymore for an explanation letter as long as SCFHS signs and stamps the NMC form of unregistered practice. However, since you did not beat NMC's deadline to submit your additional documents before February 28, it would not be advisable to do your unregistered practice at this point because NMC will ask you again to submit all of your documents under the new scheme. Sorry for the late response. I hope I answered your query.
  4. @ sweety2136 : I was placed on the decision queue on January 16, and the decision letter was issued last February 9. I was told by NMC over the phone that the letter is on its way, so I am hoping to receive it anytime soon. I am not yet in the UK as I am still waiting for the certificate of sponsorship (COS) and visa. Which hospital did you apply?
  5. @ danika2012: I'm so happy that you finally got your decision letter. Cheers, pal!
  6. @ sweety2136: NMC already sent out my decision letter within 3 weeks only from the date I was placed on the decision queue. Best of luck to you!
  7. @ danika2012: I did the verification of Saudi Council registration at the main office in SCFHS Riyadh, which is beside the Egyptian Embassy at the diplomatic quarters where all the other embassies are situated. You can ring their call center for further information. Best of luck!
  8. @ Danika SCFHS, which is the licensing body for healthcare workers in Saudi Arabia, must fill out the entire verification of registration form, as it is required by the NMC. Why did your agency kept the original form? Did you check the photocopy of the form given to you if you have your PRN and personal details printed on the form? If the details and PRN on your form are accurate, it's alright to have the photocopy filled out by SCFHS. However, if you're in doubt, you better call NMC for confirmation.
  9. @ Mathly: I am still awaiting for the decision letter, so I will know the results soon. I hope they accept it. Cheers!
  10. Hello, Arya! I saw your pm, but when I sent you a reply, I got an error message informing me that your inbox is full, so you're unable to receive it. Therefore, I will just post it here. I am still awaiting my decision letter from NMC. Hopefully, they will not ask for additional documents anymore. I was accepted by an NHS Trust in England last August, so I am just waiting for the decision letter and COS. However, I have to pay for the visa fee. Good for you, you finally got your COS. I also applied in Omanfil last October, but they told me that I will be lined up for the January 2015 batch for Addenbrookes. Kindly inform me if there are any great job opportunities in other agencies because I want to try it too. Did you finish the 2nd pack already?
  11. Hi, Arya! It only took me 5 working days to get my SCFHS verification of registration done. 12. Hi, Anajoy! I received the same certificate which you got from SCFHS Riyadh. It stated only the date of employment and my registration date with Saudi Council. They did not further elaborate the reason why I was allowed a temporary unregistered practice. However, it was the same certificate I sent to NMC. I really pray that it will be accepted by NMC, and the decision letter will be issued soon.
  13. Hello, Arya! There is an NMC form to be filled out by your college institution, and it must be sent to the NMC along with your TOR with theoretical hours and college diploma. Best of luck!
  14. I sent them an email, and they told me that SCFHS will only release an explanation letter for the unregistered practice if the gap between the employment and registration date is more than 6 months. However, I tried the provincial branch to request for the aforementioned letter, and they gladly helped me secure one. It is way much better to get the explanation letter from a provincial branch instead of the main office in Riyadh.
  15. Hello, rakneethu! At first, I requested for the explanation letter for the temporary unregistered practice from SCFHS' Riyadh branch, but they told me to send an email instead to [email protected]. I sent them an email, then I went to the nearest provincial branch to secure one, which was released on the same day. Best of luck!
