Hi! Been following the discussion about verification of nurse registration since last week and I decided to join this site to get some help and be of assistance, if possible.
Currently, I am applying for Further Assessment in Alberta's College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). At this stage, the only requirement I need is the Verification of Registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or known as the Saudi Council. I was advised that it is done online so I paid and received a Certificate of Good Standing via email in a matter of minutes. I thought everything was fine but the problem has just get started from that point.
Two weeks ago, I sent the said certificate electronically but they advised me to have it printed and sent directly from its source that is Saudi Council. So I went there a couple of days back to ask them to send it as it is the requirement of CARNA (with the fee of sending to be paid by me) but they declined my request. They just gave me an envelope and instructed me to send it myself.
The dilemma did not end there because last night, CARNA emailed me that the certificate does not include the Initial Date of Registration and that their Nurse Consultant will call them with this concern. As for my end, I am planning to go back there and have the Verification of Nurse Registration Form filled up in addition to the good standing certificate. However, I would like to hear from you guys who have the same concern or been processing their CARNA registration or with any other jurisdiction (eg., NMC UK, AHPRA) that requires registration verification from Saudi Arabia.
@danika2012 I processed my papers here in Jeddah and I have been to SCFHS office myself. I found it on google. I had a hard time finding it but it is at the end of Palestine roaD beside the Tawuniya Claims building.
Wow that's good news! May I know when were you informed your in the decision que? I'm still waiting for mine still after they asked me for the non nursing and nursing clock hours from my university, the wait is really nerve wrecking.. Are you in UK now? Best of luck!
thanks @stylish gem. I let my friend go there but I was not able to secure the document. Anyway I just went to NMC myself and submitted all that they asked from me along with an explanation letter. I wennt there january 22. They placed me on decision queue january 26. 2 days ago they already sent my decision letter. good luck to us!

Right now if you are in decision queue. It only takes 3 weeks for them to have the decision. You just have to call them every week. Good luck.

@ sweety2136 : I was placed on the decision queue on January 16, and the decision letter was issued last February 9. I was told by NMC over the phone that the letter is on its way, so I am hoping to receive it anytime soon. I am not yet in the UK as I am still waiting for the certificate of sponsorship (COS) and visa. Which hospital did you apply?
This is just in - the decision letter regarding my application is finally out today. Praise God! Thanks to all of my friends here from allnurses, who prayed and cheered for me while I was going through a lot of struggles, which is more or less a year now, especially to ************* who processed my Unregistered Practice form in Jeddah. For those who are on queue, the decision on your application will surely be out soon! God bless and hope to see you in the UK!
Hello. Uhm, I just received Saudi's infamous unregistered practice form. I already found myself an employer and I already told them that I was just waiting for my decision letter only to find out that I'm gonna go back to the queue again. Do I wait another 2-3 months? I'm currently in the Philippines and I just don't know what to do. I worked in the Eastern region of Saudi which is roughly an 8 hour drive to Jeddah so asking a colleague to do it for me is just out of the question. I have a College friend who's currently working there though. From what I gathered here, I need to send copies of the ff: coe, iqama, entry/exit visa and the NMC form right? I'm also quite worried about the fee. I read that the 300 riyal fee needs to be paid using a credit/debit card but she doesn't have one, is there any way to go around this? Is there any way to just pay by cash?
Edit: My unregistered practice was very brief, it was less than 3 months. Do I need to secure a letter of explanation from them as well?
