Hi! Been following the discussion about verification of nurse registration since last week and I decided to join this site to get some help and be of assistance, if possible.
Currently, I am applying for Further Assessment in Alberta's College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). At this stage, the only requirement I need is the Verification of Registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or known as the Saudi Council. I was advised that it is done online so I paid and received a Certificate of Good Standing via email in a matter of minutes. I thought everything was fine but the problem has just get started from that point.
Two weeks ago, I sent the said certificate electronically but they advised me to have it printed and sent directly from its source that is Saudi Council. So I went there a couple of days back to ask them to send it as it is the requirement of CARNA (with the fee of sending to be paid by me) but they declined my request. They just gave me an envelope and instructed me to send it myself.
The dilemma did not end there because last night, CARNA emailed me that the certificate does not include the Initial Date of Registration and that their Nurse Consultant will call them with this concern. As for my end, I am planning to go back there and have the Verification of Nurse Registration Form filled up in addition to the good standing certificate. However, I would like to hear from you guys who have the same concern or been processing their CARNA registration or with any other jurisdiction (eg., NMC UK, AHPRA) that requires registration verification from Saudi Arabia.
hi. I am lexie and i would like to ask how you processed the unregistered practice with scfhs. I have sent them the form from nmc.. every week i tried to call them and they are telling me that its on process..and this morning i received a terrible news that the secretary refused to sign the letter from NMC.. please please help me on how to do this.. can i contact you personally? What if I have post registration experience of one year and 2 years of unregistered practice in a particular state.?
Does this warrant an unregistered- practice -verification form?
If you declared that (2 years of unregistered practice) on your application, say on your pack and employer references, there should be an unregistered practice form to back that up.3

Hello Lexie. They also refused to sign the form for me but wrote a certification acknowledging the 2 months of unregistered practice I rendered prior to SCFHS registration. I'll just send you a private message for that.
I didn't get any unregistered practice verification form along with the 2 nd pack.what should I do now .Does this mean I may lose 2 months more?
I wonder if anyone could post the snap of unregistered practice verification form here.I hope a statement from the registration authority in this regard would save much time

That form came after the assessment of my documents. But try to contact the NMC to dispatch it for you. If you have at least 12 months of registered practice, I think that would be enough as it its really hard to secure, based on my experience, the signature and stamp of the nursing councils....I'm afraid we cannot post photos here.8

The period of my unregistered practice is between 26 June 2012 and 10 September 2012.10
Hello everyone, for those who have problem with their unregistered practice here in Saudi Arabia and in a hurry to meet the deadline for January 31, 2015, you can directly email the NMC and request to send the "unregistered practice form" in advance eventhough your stage 2 requirements have not been assessed. That is what i did, explain to them that you are aware of you unregistered practice and later on will be asked toexplain it. Im really surprised, few days ago I received an e-mail from NMC with an attachment containing the "unregistered verification form". So its really possible that they can send that form thru email. I went to Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Jeddah branch this morning and they easily signed it but i paid 300 riyals. Goodluck guys
