Registration Verification from Saudi Council

Hi! Been following the discussion about verification of nurse registration since last week and I decided to join this site to get some help and be of assistance, if possible.

Currently, I am applying for Further Assessment in Alberta's College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). At this stage, the only requirement I need is the Verification of Registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or known as the Saudi Council. I was advised that it is done online so I paid and received a Certificate of Good Standing via email in a matter of minutes. I thought everything was fine but the problem has just get started from that point.

Two weeks ago, I sent the said certificate electronically but they advised me to have it printed and sent directly from its source that is Saudi Council. So I went there a couple of days back to ask them to send it as it is the requirement of CARNA (with the fee of sending to be paid by me) but they declined my request. They just gave me an envelope and instructed me to send it myself.

The dilemma did not end there because last night, CARNA emailed me that the certificate does not include the Initial Date of Registration and that their Nurse Consultant will call them with this concern. As for my end, I am planning to go back there and have the Verification of Nurse Registration Form filled up in addition to the good standing certificate. However, I would like to hear from you guys who have the same concern or been processing their CARNA registration or with any other jurisdiction (eg., NMC UK, AHPRA) that requires registration verification from Saudi Arabia.

I agree, imagine if we will all wait for the decision letter. Just wait for it, i actually phoned them first, to ask if they could send it in advance, then i emailed them a week after..i received that attachment after 10 days i think.

Hai promking12,it is really a useful information.I am also facing the same problem. I also have 1 year unregistered practice there.Now I am in uk and nmc sent one verification form for unregistered practice to me. I mailed and phoned saudi commission ,but they did not give a positive response.NMC keep on asking that certificate and I am helpless.Saudi council, Riyadh informed me that they would not provide those kind of certificate.If u dont mind,could you pls give your mail id or could you please mail me your phone number or mail id .My mail id is [email protected] dont ignore it..

Hai promking culd you explain how you approached jeddah office and what are the documents they are asking for in order to get signature for that form..I have the form already , i am not in saudi.so is it possible to send relative or friend there...thanx..

Hello nvp82, yes its possible to ask from your relatives to go there, you have to bring your form there, anf pay 300 sr thru credit card( they are not accepting cash). Since you're out of saudi, is your nursing license here still active? Maybe its better if you'll send a copy of your saudi license if ever Saudi council will ask for it, but with my case, they get my form and instructed me to pay 300 riyals in the 2nd floor, when i got back to the 1st floor my form is already enclosed in the official envelope of saudi council and gave me a photocopy of accomplished unreg form. With regards to the covering letter, it took me a month to get it... dont mind the covering letter because they will sign your unreg form anyways.

Hello promking,how many years of unregistered practice you have..I have more than 1 year...what they write in covering letter..what is the content...Is it acceptable if i get the stamp from provincial saudi council..thanx..

Hello. I have been reading your post and I am also in stage 2 of application in NMC. Regarding saudi verification, those who have already gotten it, do they usually fill up everything there? And is it okay to let them fill up a photocopy of the form? In my case my agency did not give me the form, only a photocopy of it and I am rushing to send them to Saudi Council before January 31.

SCFHS, which is the licensing body for healthcare workers in Saudi Arabia, must fill out the entire verification of registration form, as it is required by the NMC.

Why did your agency kept the original form? Did you check the photocopy of the form given to you if you have your PRN and personal details printed on the form? If the details and PRN on your form are accurate, it's alright to have the photocopy filled out by SCFHS. However, if you're in doubt, you better call NMC for confirmation.

They are the ones processing the verification form .and I was told that cert. Of good stan is already a proof of verificqtion.. However nmc wont accept it. So I need to have this verification :( or nmc said even a letter from scfhs stating my registration date.

Do you have an idea where is scfhs in jeddah? My friends dont know where and google isnt giving the exact direction

@ danika2012: I did the verification of Saudi Council registration at the main office in SCFHS Riyadh, which is beside the Egyptian Embassy at the diplomatic quarters where all the other embassies are situated. You can ring their call center for further information. Best of luck!
