Hi! Been following the discussion about verification of nurse registration since last week and I decided to join this site to get some help and be of assistance, if possible.
Currently, I am applying for Further Assessment in Alberta's College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). At this stage, the only requirement I need is the Verification of Registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or known as the Saudi Council. I was advised that it is done online so I paid and received a Certificate of Good Standing via email in a matter of minutes. I thought everything was fine but the problem has just get started from that point.
Two weeks ago, I sent the said certificate electronically but they advised me to have it printed and sent directly from its source that is Saudi Council. So I went there a couple of days back to ask them to send it as it is the requirement of CARNA (with the fee of sending to be paid by me) but they declined my request. They just gave me an envelope and instructed me to send it myself.
The dilemma did not end there because last night, CARNA emailed me that the certificate does not include the Initial Date of Registration and that their Nurse Consultant will call them with this concern. As for my end, I am planning to go back there and have the Verification of Nurse Registration Form filled up in addition to the good standing certificate. However, I would like to hear from you guys who have the same concern or been processing their CARNA registration or with any other jurisdiction (eg., NMC UK, AHPRA) that requires registration verification from Saudi Arabia.
Hi coolplanet2003..what was exactly your situation before? As for me,i was working in Saudi Arabia for 3 years from 2010 to 2013 but ky employer did not require me to be registered in the Council.I have already submitted an explanation letter from my hospital in Saudi.But still the NMC would want me to ask a letter from SCFHS.It took me 1 yr and 6 months to process my nmc,but until now i dont have the dl.I just submitted a certiied true copy of my final exit visa,my employment certificates.and right now i am again in a decision queue.The nmc have informed me that my application will be until january 31 only an i i failed to submit those needed documents my application will expire and i will need to re apply again to the new process..:-( are you having the same situation with me before?
Yes,i have requested the nmc to send me the form.but i have phoned saudi council,they have informed me that they will not sign the unregistered veriication form since i was not registered efer since to Saudi Council..Thank you for responding..@coolplanet2003
I was able to submit my NMC pack 2 third week of November, but I still am not able to go through the SCFHS requirement. I mailed the verification of registration form to SCFHS riyadh, and they received it on November 16. I included with the documents my receipt of payment thru NCB. I keep on following up by calling their international number (since I am staying in the Philippines), and they gave me an application number. I called them today and they said it is still in process. It has been 9working days already. My friend who will pick up the verification of registration and will do the mailing works office hours that's why I want to be 100% sure that when he goes there, the document is ready.
@stylish gem, if I remember it right, your verification of registration only took 5 working days? (Off topic, is your decision letter released already?)
I am quite worried at the moment. Every time I call them, they just keep saying it is still in process.
I would appreciate any advise.

Hi, Arya! It only took me 5 working days to get my SCFHS verification of registration done. I am still awaiting my decision letter from NMC. Hopefully, they will not ask for additional documents anymore. I was accepted by an NHS Trust in England last August, so I am just waiting for the decision letter and COS. However, I have to pay for the visa fee. Good for you, you finally got your COS. I also applied in your agency last October, but they told me that I will be lined up for the January 2015 batch for Addenbrookes. Kindly inform me if there are any great job opportunities in other agencies because I want to try it too. Did you finish the 2nd pack already?
NMC was able to receive my Pack 2 documents, except for the SCFHS requirements, but my friend is actually on her way to the main office at the moment and hopefully, everything will be okay. Most of my batchmates for UK deployment are also still completing their pack2, while some are waiting for their DL.
It is good to know that you are also accepted already for an NHS trust. There are a lot of job postings for UK. I will PM you again.

employment cert stamped by chamber of commerce, copy of entry ecxit visa, iqama copy, the letter from nmc. did u secure a police clearance from saudi already? im sure nmc will also ask u to provide this too.
No i dont have police clearance from saudi also..:-( i am currently processing for it so that i can send the reqts. To my friend riyadh...I hope NMC will not require that right now coz i dont have it yet..
How about the regiatration certiicate?are they going to ask that also from me?i mean the saudi council...Because i cant provide any copy of reg.certificate since i was never been registered to them..
yes you need to process saudi police clearance now as eventually they will ask u to get one. Employment certificates should be verified by the chamber of commerce in the kingdom to verify its authenticity. But ask your friend to try to go to jeddah and explain that you were not required by your employer to take saudi council exam during your time. In my case my friend told me they did not even looked at my certificates, they just signed the unregistered practice form and he paid 300 SAR for the stamp.
