I was wondering if anyone out there had any information they would like to share about the direct entry NP program at Regis College? I was accepted, and I really like the school, but I have found that there isnt as much information from currenlt, prospective, or previous students as there is about other schools. Any information that anyone has to share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Congratulations to all of you who have been accepted to Regis! It would be great for those of us who are still in the application process if you could let us (me!) know your statistcs...I took the GRE in October with no preparation and got a terrible score - 910. I have a decent GPA (about 3.7), but I know that Regis really looks for 1000+ on the GRE. I also have no medical experience and most of the prerequisites to complete, so I'm concerned about my chances of getting accepted. Thank you so much for any information - especially GRE and GPA - you can offer!
luckylady5,
I found the contacts at regis extremely helpful in answering any questions I had in terms of the application process, also the school requires and interview for all applicants so I would submit your application as is then schedule an interview and there you can work out any issues such as planning on taking the prerequesites and or retaking the GRE. As for me in particular I got a 1050 on the gre, I have been in the medical field for 5 years, but my overal gpa was only a 3.0 and prereq gpa was 3.5ish. I took the gre twice and the first time I only got a 990 I immediately called the school and they said don't stress about it they said the look for a ballpark of 1000 I only retook the exam in case I wanted to apply to other schools. I hope this helps, and good luck with your application! -kim
Congratulations to all who have been accepted to the NP program at Regis!! I submitted my application right before Christmas and am still waiting to hear back. Is is recommended that you schedule an interview before you hear back? I am a bit confused on that? Any comments would be great!
I would call the admissions office. I received an email telling me I was missing something and about ten emails in it was mentioned my application would be complete when I had an interview. I was waiting to hear from them about scheduling one but apparently I missed where it said you are suppose to schedule it. Since it's rolling admissions I would call them soon especially if it's your first choice. I was told they usually make a decision either way about 2 weeks after your application is considered complete.
Congrats to everyone! I received my acceptance letter from Regis last week and am so excited! It's my first choice but I am waiting to hear from BC and MGH before making any final decisions. What is everyone doing right now to prep for nursing school? I am working as a Medical assistant in a busy derm practice and trying to finish my prereqs....
I got my acceptance letter last week too! I am completely freaking out about which school to attend (still have not heard from any of the other programs) Although, I think Regis will be a great fit! I am working as a full-time nanny and also at a primary care physicians office as an MA. Will you be attending the "gathering" on March 8th?
So I know this thread is a over a year old, but I just got accepted for the fall of 2011. So if any of you who got accepted last year could give me insider information, I would totally appreciate it. I've heard all sorts of things about Regis, from "It's the University of Phoenix of direct entry nursing!" to "Best pass rates and best program ever!"
Where does Regis actually fall, in your opinion?
this school does not have its stuff together. I was accepted into the BSN-DNP track, registered for classes, and was ready to begin when some woman I had no I idea of who she was came over and unregistered me, adding another year to my studies, all over one class. I would run from this place, they are all off their rocker!

Right I saw that stipulation; it looks like for now only one of us has met that requirement. So I was seeing if anyone accepted into the program wanted to start a pm so we can discuss our thoughts/questions. I'm sure I'll reach 15 messages soon :)
