Regis College Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys,

I was recently accepted to the Direct entry MSN program for family nurse practitioner at Regis College and I had a couple of questions regarding the school and I was hoping someone at allnurses could shed some light about the program.

First Question is How much is the total cost for the family nurse practitioner program?

Second Question is there any scholarship available that I can get?

Third Question, does regis help you find a preceptor or do the students have to find their own?

Fourth Question, are the professor/clinical instructors out there to help the students or do you have to do everything on your own?( I heard a lot of negative feedback regarding this topic and i just want some clarification)

If someone who attended this school can answer these questions and if they can also give their review about the school/program I'll greatly appreciate it.

Thank you guys

Hi, I just got accepted into Regis College PMHNP online summer 2018 program and I wanted to know how is the program so far are the teachers helpful? can you work while in the program? did you have to take Nu 605 first? any info you can share I will appreciate.

Hi I am starting Regis College online PMHNP for Summer 2018 and I wanted to know how is it going for you?

Hello,

I have narrowed my search to Regis and Maryville for PSych APN program. I have been able to speak with students from Maryville. Any feedback from Regis that you may have would be greatly appreciated.

I am so sorry to have to post this. I am in my second semester at Regis, in the online MSN-PMHNP program. I am going to try to keep my response factual and leave my (strong) emotions out of it.

* re: instructors: they are wildly inconsistent in quality. Most do not submit grades within the 72 hour deadline required by the College - so you will have no idea how you are doing until it's too late.

* re: financial aid (if you use it): I have been at Regis two semesters, and the registrar's office have NEVER submitted my info to the National Clearinghouse. I found this out because my huge repayment bills have begun showing up - despite my current enrollment. Expensive.

* re: clinical: yes, you have to arrange your own clinicals. And even if you are a super Type-AAA personality like me, and have your preceptor and organization all set up far before the deadline, Regis will not do their part of the arrangement (i.e., securing legal aggreements, accepting proposal, etc.) in a timely fashion (i.e., with enough time for you to make a plan B, if you need to).

You will need to make LOTS and LOTS of phone calls to get the faculty and staff at Regis to do their jobs. It is not a good program, I regret being in it, and I would recommend choosing any other program.

please see my post in this thread - I've been attending Regis for awhile, and I recommend transferring out before it's too late.

Just curious, have you made phone calls looking into transferring to a different school? Will they accept your credits? Your post does stress me out some- I'm in week 4 of my first semester at Regis for PMHNP and it's very time consuming but so far, good otherwise. What have you heard about board pass rates?

Hello, I am preparing to start the online PMHNP post masters program next month. How is it so far? Is it doable with a 40 hour work schedule?

Hi I am looking into applying to Regis FNP program and can't decide between online vs on campus and was wondering if anyone that is currently in the program could give some recommendations and information on what one you are in and how it is going.

I am applying within the next few wks for PMHNP starting Jan 2019 start. how is it going everyone?

The courses are okay, still have a 4.0, but the registrar messed up and I've been getting bills for my student loans while in school - again, for the third time. I'm applying to transfer out, the school is an extremely poor value for the tuition. I would apply elsewhere if I were you.

For those of you who attended this program or know of how the graduate portion works I’m curious what the chances are that you get the specialty you want since you don’t choose it at entry you choose it after the second year
