Regis College Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys,

I was recently accepted to the Direct entry MSN program for family nurse practitioner at Regis College and I had a couple of questions regarding the school and I was hoping someone at allnurses could shed some light about the program.

First Question is How much is the total cost for the family nurse practitioner program?

Second Question is there any scholarship available that I can get?

Third Question, does regis help you find a preceptor or do the students have to find their own?

Fourth Question, are the professor/clinical instructors out there to help the students or do you have to do everything on your own?( I heard a lot of negative feedback regarding this topic and i just want some clarification)

If someone who attended this school can answer these questions and if they can also give their review about the school/program I'll greatly appreciate it.

Thank you guys

I'm guessing you won't find out until after the 2/5 deadline that they gave the people who were just admitted? I assume they have to see who is comitted and who turns them down before admitting new people. They will probably schedule and interview of some kind soon though.

I got accepted to for the Fall :) I am still waiting to hear from MGH. I am really nervous because i have read so many horror storries about Regis. How do you all feel about it? Is it just old posts because most of the horror stories seem to be from years ago. ??????????????

Oh goodness! What sort of horror stories did you hear?

I have a friend in the program and she seems to be enjoying her time there. The only complaint she had was administration, the steep tuition bill, along with some of her clinical placements. She's just entering her 3rd year and NP classes. She likes her cohort and the classes are very easy, but she felt the preparation for NCLEX was not sufficient. Hope this helps! I was admitted around December and made the impulsive decision to drop the deposit just in case I wouldn't get in to other schools. I ended up being admitted to a number of programs and will probably be sending an email to Regis admissions telling them I won't be going anymore-the tuition is just too much for me.

Thanks for your help! I also am in the same boat. I put down half of the deposit already, which is so expensive as it is. I am not ready to spend another $1000, when I'm hearing back from other schools. I'm waiting a few days to hear back from my top choice school, and if all goes well, will also tell Regis that I will no longer be attending..

I sincerely hope you hear back from your first choice school soon :) Best of luck!

Thanks, same to you!

Hi, I start Psych NP at Regis in April. How is it going for you? I'm getting a bit nervous about the school. I know that it's a new online program. I would love your feedback.

This is a forum for the accelerated BS/MS in nursing, not for an online psych NP program.

Hi everyone - I have applied/been accepted as well and plan to attend, does anyone have any info about where they will be living (on campus or off?) Also, do you all plan to pay through loans or outside scholarships? Thanks everyone!

I also plan on attending (still hoping to get off the waitlist at MGH though). Plan on paying using loans, haven't heard from financial aid yet either. I live right outside of Providence, RI and ideally I would commute to save money on loans but I don't know how feasible that will be for me. Not too sure about the housing situation around campus.

Hey Tb1219! Also waitlisted at MGH haha. I've communicated with financial aid, and I think they will reach out to us in the next few months for loans. I think commuting from RI would be difficult but I'm not sure
