Which school will you be attending? Many of them have resources and tutoring services that you can use.

Hey, that is where I was 2 months ago. You can do it! For papers, get PEERLA and look at Owl Purdue. Grammarly will also help with the grammar part of it. Power points are fairly easy. If you have any kids, they know how to do power points. Feel free to pm for any help. I understand the fear you are feeling. You can do it! What schools are you looking into?

I have been out of school over 30 years and just went back for my BSN online. In my associate degree program we never had to write nursing papers. Ha! I did not even know what APA was! I am in my 2nd nursing class, and all it is is paper writing. It takes some getting use to. Get the APA manual, Purdue Owl is good also, and PERRLA has been a life saver. Grammarly is good. You don't know how bad your grammar is until you use this! Allnurses has been a great wealth of info also. Many people that were in your shoes are willing to help out on this board. Lots of work as my classes are five week format, but I am doing well so far. You can do it!
Where are you going?? I'm in the same boat as you. Haven't been in school for ages, had no clue what APA was and here I am writing papers. :) Thank goodness for PERRLA, Owl and the APA book. Also, OP have someone read your papers. I have two people at work who are RN-BSN and fresh out of ADN school. One was really good about reading my first few papers. She also shared what a paper looked like so I knew what APA really was. Now I'm ok and have the format down. If something stumps me I look it up or I ask, but I'm gotten pretty good on my own. Feel free to pm!!
I am going to Ohio University. 5 week classes so a lot of writing in 5 weeks! I would have someone at work read my papers, but they have no clue!
My classes are set the same way. I'm at Grand Canyon. Luckily I have a person who is really good at papers. I no longer use her, but it was nice to have second eyes. Good luck in your studies!

Citationmachine.net is a great resource for formatting citations as well.

I found some videos on youtube that were extremely helpful. I learned how to correctly format my papers manually then I bought Perrla and it was great! It saves a lot of time.

I just took a break a few minutes ago before I went blind. I'm currently writing a 6-pg submission paper to introduce the 4-pg essay that I finished yesterday. It never ends!!!! English was my strong suit in school but THIS is ridiculous! I knew there would be papers to write but I had no idea we would be destroying the technological forest!!!!
I had to laugh at myself today and a few others wanted to smack me on the head, lol. I was reading an email and all I could see what format issues and typo's. I know..it's just an email and I never would have noticed before. However, your mind gets in that paper writing mode!
