Hi everybody,
I am looking for a College in Alabama which offers a course of studies in ADN-RN. Is anybody willing to share his/her experiences about a college? My favourites are: Alabama Southern Community College; Gadsden State Community College; Shelton State Community College; Troy State University; University of West Alabama; George C. Wallace State Community College, Selma.
Thanks a lot for your opinions.

Central Alabama Community College, and also Jefferson State Community College. I went to CACC for my LPN and ADN, JSU for BSN and now Im in the MSN prgram at UAB.
I loved the instructors at CACC. One instructor in particular in my LPN program. She always made us think "outside the box".
Good luck to you!

Petra, i didn't attend the schools you mentioned, but try visiting Alabama BON website.& look at their approved nsg programs and their passing rates. Maybe this will help you decide which program is best.

I went to George C. Wallace for my ADN, I went to the branch in Dothan, Alabama (Southeastern corner of AL). It was a good experience and really prepared me for the NCLEX-RN- which I passed on the first try! If I had gone elsewhere, I don't know if I would have been as prepared for it. At GCW in Dothan, the nursing class exams are all styled as NCLEX questions.

Hey. I just got my acceptance letter from Wallace State Hanceville. I have heard nothing but good things about this school. I'm not really sure about the others. Sorry.
@all
Thanks for sharing your experiences. Wallace is my favourite at this time (but a little bit expensive).

We know the Dothan area very well. My husband is a helicopter pilot with the German Army and did most of his flight training in Fort Rucker, AL. We have a close friend in Newton.
We love the people and the area around Ft. Rucker and so I am dreaming about studying at Wallace.
We will see where the future will take us..
I live in Dothan Petra! Let me know if you are able to take up residence here, I would love to meet you, give you tips on places to work- maybe even get you hired where I work! (I work at a longterm care facility.) PM me sometime! We'll do lunch!
