Hi lulu. Welcome to allnurses. The first thing that you need to do is go talk to your college of choice. They can tell you what you need to do, which direction to take and how to get started with school.

lulu....according to your profile information, you are 16 and most likely still in high school. You should be able to get a ton of information from either your guidance counselors or college counselors that are on staff at most high schools. I would be sure to talk to them -- find out the local colleges with nursing programs, what classes are required, if there are some you can take while still in high school to help prepare you, etc.
I wish you the best of luck!

Have you checked the college's website? You should be able to find an outline of the required classes, pre-reqs, co-reqs, etc. Try searching their website for "nursing". That oughta do it.

If your college counselor is no help, definitely do as the others suggested and look at the college websites. Also, if you can, take any AP classes you can. They will only help you. I suggest doing some extra science courses this year too. Things like Biology or Chemistry. They will only help you to grasp the basics of nursing. Be sure to study hard and get good grades. Nursing school is not easy, so the more you prepare now, the easier it will be later on.
Good luck!

If your high-school counselor isn't helping with that, then definitely contact the college on your own. Let them know that you are a senior and you would like to attend their school when you graduate and you were wondering if you could get some information on their Nursing Program. Also, check their website - they may have information on there that your not aware of! Best of luck!
