Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2012

Published

ooops... The other one had 2011 instead of 2012... let's try this again:

Just thought I would start a new thread for the current application cycle. Questions... stats... rumors... etc!

My question is... for those applying this cycle, how did you do on the TEAS V? Since this is the first year they are using this test, it would be nice to see how everyone is doing.

(Please don't post TEAS 3 or TEAS 4 results, as the scores are NOT comparable with the TEAS V.)

Has anyone yet filed their FAFSA? Also, any idea on when co-reqs for the program get evaluated and recognized? Im wondering if I should register for Psych, even though I've taken it at SJC, just in case I get in and they don't accept it?

No i did not... As far as psy i would email them once you know you are in and see if they will accept it... I am sure they will!

@saramisu. I'm sorry to hear that you are sick too! Feel better! I hope you had a good Easter holiday at least :)

Is there anyone there who applied to NVCC and can see their status (accepted/waitlisted)??? I don't see anyone on here who applied to NVCC?

I applied to nvcc, it said online that i was waitlisted. Nursewannabe86, what were uour stats and what did your online staus say?

@motosteph... I'm sorry! I didn't realize you applied to NVCC.My stats: TEAS 83.3, A&P A, not sure about my GPA cause I transferred schools in between, but should be 3.82 I'm guessing. My online thing doesn't say anything! I don't know why? It just says met...everywhere. What were your stats if you don't mind me asking?

NEF- I see what you mean now. Chris said he was waitlisted I have nothing so maybe 2m it will say something.

I was waitlisted at BHSN so now I have lost all hope for me to ever be an RN I applied to NVCC for respiratory and I got in. I have a 4.0 from gateway and a 3.7 from WCSU were I have a BA in psych. I guess if I had to ill go to NVCC its not the end of the world I just made sure that no matter what I did something for next semester .. PLUS i work in the ICU at yale so i want to make sure I have a job in a hospital. This is soo stressful I wanna throw up lol

Oh thats ok, I had an A in a&p and 82 teas and unsure about my gpa, which was never posted!

Moto steph thats really good stats. What number waitlist are you?

I havent found my gpa out yet, online it says that the letter will let me know my number in line. I'm hoping that the classes i re-took replaced my grades from my undergrad and that its not a combo of the two, which would definitly offset my gpa.

@motosteph: wow, your stats are great!!! Now you're scaring me haha. You really don't know your GPA? Do you think it's above 3.8 or 3.6? I was hoping they'll accept everyone with GPAs above 3.6 at least..

Oh jeez everyone's stats sound great, i just cant wait to find out the number!!

No i'm really not sure about my gpa, I've tried calculating it, but it's not exact. Did you include any courses besides a&p, chem, bio, english, math, and computer?

I just started college, I dong have any college degrees and any other classes than those which are required for the nursing program. So I took and calculated ENG 101, 102, computer class, 1 math class, sociology class, BIO 105, CHEM class, both A&P, and a history class (cause I wanted to apply in NY and his was required, I then transferred to CT where it is not required). So I think I included 10classes.
