Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2012

Published

ooops... The other one had 2011 instead of 2012... let's try this again:

Just thought I would start a new thread for the current application cycle. Questions... stats... rumors... etc!

My question is... for those applying this cycle, how did you do on the TEAS V? Since this is the first year they are using this test, it would be nice to see how everyone is doing.

(Please don't post TEAS 3 or TEAS 4 results, as the scores are NOT comparable with the TEAS V.)

I want to know too, I guess we'll just have to wait for the mail:no: If they send them out today, we should all see something tomorrow right, only one day in state?

yes... in our office we get stuff in one day....

Nef203: thanks that makes me feel better, i may either save up money working my resturaunt job or become an emt. Anyone know how much emts make?

I got waitlisted from Capital. Hopefully I'm not too far up on the list. Does anyone know what the highest number on the waiting list that got accepted last year?

I know someone who got 8 or 9 at nvcc and got in.

I know how hard it is... the hardest thing is that everyone has impressive grades and test scores and that combined with the small amount of seats is very small. My cousin works as an EMT in the ER at YNHH... Her base pay is $14.00 hr but she makes around $20.00 working nights. good luck!

I am not sure... look throught the 2011 thread... there will always be people who applied to other schools who will not take the spot. good luck!

Thanks for the emt info! I'll have to think about it.

@yrienay - I heard that the cutoff for the waitlist was around 30. I'm not sure how accurate that is, and I'm sure it is dependent on the school to which you applied. I would guess that more people than we think would reject their seat. Alot of people are applying to multiple programs, and this is not their first choice. People move unexpectedly, have children, etc. Last, there may be some people who do not make the "C" requirement asked of for the A&P II grade while in session. You never know.

Also, my commnet has not changed.

@saramisu: what do you mean by cutoff 30? What does 30 refer to? Seats for lottery? I lost it haha

Nursewannabe: that if your waitlist number is below 30,you'll have a good chance at getting in..but I can't remember where I heard that and can't be sure if its true
