Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2011

Published

Hello all,

It's almost that time of year again! I'm applying to the 2011 class which the application period begins this November 1st. We have two months to prepare our applications! Anyone else applying? I've seen the support the last year's class has with this sort of thread and I figured there should be one started for 2011 applicants. What is your TEAS score? GPA? A&P I grade? What were the averages that the 2010 applicants had and they are now starting the fall 2010 program?? Good luck!!!

My counselor told me any History, Art, or Language course would count for the Humanities credit. I looked at the Humanities & Fine Arts Electives: Courses Accepted by Each CT-CCNP College packet on the website. I did not see any History classes listed. I have to change my schedule. Also different schools accept different courses. If you already took your Humanities what did you take?

When we finally receive our letters, will it be obvious without even opening the letter if we're in the program or on the wait list? I'm wondering if they send out a large envelope with a packet full of info for the people who are accepted, and a regular envelope with a one page letter for people on the wait list.

From reading through this site I've read that in the previous years those accepted received a big envelope and those wait listed got a normal envelope

Thanks for replying! :) So I'll either be celebrating at my mail box or crying in the road haha. My neighbors are going to wonder what's going on!

No problem! I will be doing the exact same thing. The mailman is probably going to be confused haha

I'm going out of town this weekend. I am sure everyone will post the minute they hear something though, right??

yes WE WILL!

of course we will!

Just curious as to what people's back up plans are if they don't get in this year?

Well, I've been waitlisted twice already at Gateway CC.

If I get waitlisted again, I'm going to try and attend Southern or another 4 year institution.

I had finished all of my non-nursing clinical classes last year and have nothing else to take at this point... seems like a waste of time to sit around if I'm waitlisted again.

I could've finished my 4 year degree already at Southern, had I been smart about this. I already have an associates degree in Biology/Chemistry. The waitlist is so annoying. I had decent grades, a stellar TEAS score and an A in A&P. It just frustrates me to no end that someone will lower grades/scores have been allowed to pursue my passion!

Check your commnets....my cousin got word on there that she was awarded a spot. Wish you all the best!

Nothing on my commnet yet!
