Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2011

Published

Hello all,

It's almost that time of year again! I'm applying to the 2011 class which the application period begins this November 1st. We have two months to prepare our applications! Anyone else applying? I've seen the support the last year's class has with this sort of thread and I figured there should be one started for 2011 applicants. What is your TEAS score? GPA? A&P I grade? What were the averages that the 2010 applicants had and they are now starting the fall 2010 program?? Good luck!!!

I am a "K" at Gateway and everything is posted!!!!

They hit the "K's" at Capitol....

They got to the last names that start with "N" at Gateway. I transferred in every class from a four-year college and only took A&P I at Capital:

81.2% on my TEAS

B+ in A&P I

2.92 Overall GPA

Hopefully it will be enough for either GWCC or NWCC! Good luck to everyone - the waiting will be the hardest part :)

oooooh the wait is killing me too! I'm an "R" at GW and not up yet. Anybody call and get any info from GW as to when we'll hear back or is it supposed to be the same for them all?

I sent an e-mail to ******** at GWCC - she's usually pretty good about getting back to me. I'll let you know when she does. I'm hoping by the end of the month or the first week of April. I need to make decisions about other graduate school programs if I don't get into nursing school so I can't wait too long...

I am H and mine is posted as well at Gateway.

Gateway emailed me back and said may 1st. Sigh.

Ugh! Ridiculous considering they have the info inputed and now all they have to do is rank. Plus, registration is April 1st and I would like to know if I should register for micro in the summer or wait until the fall. Guess I will do both but so annoying!

I'm a V and my GPA was posted yesterday. It still shows CCC as my first choice instead of GWCC though?

So much for an online application process. Last year letters were sent mid-April.

I spoke with someone at the central office, and they said that they have received a considerable amount MORE applications than they did last year... for the same amount of seats statewide. That is probably why notifications are expected to go out later this year -- more people to sift through!

jeez seeing all these impressive stats is so intimidating....while i dont think i'll be the first choice i'm hoping i'll get one of the lottery spots. cmon the world needs bilingual hispanic males nurses too lol. i mean i really have no back up plan which is a first for me because usually i think ahead. i really dont wanna have to go to another university so they can tell me oh we can transfer sum of ur credits but not all so ur gonna have to retake sum courses and waste another 2 years.and at the same time i just dont wanna wait another year to reapply. i took this semester off because i finished all of the nursing prereqs and even the ones that your supposed to take while in the program and im already getting stir crazy lol. so from what i read on here were supposed to hear by the end of the month or first week of april. even though its coming up fast im getting impatient. and whats this i hear about alphabetical order lmao i must be screwed my last name starts with Y lol. im really just hoping they dont judge me too harshly based on my old gpa at uconn... i mean im not there anymore for a reason if i were doing good i wouldve stayed..makes sense right lol. heres to hoping for so good news for everyone whos worked so hard for it which is pretty much all of us. keep the info rolling in people its the only way i know whats going on with this whole ordeal.
