Update to my situation in case anyone stumbles across this: I got my new ATT within 3 days from Pearson Vue. So I majorly over stressed on the situation. I re paid to take the test the day after I failed and they issued me a new ATT for 45 days after my failed nclex.
hope that helps someone out there!

I actually went through the same thing today...called the BON, they told me to call pearsonvue and they told me to call the BON...well atleast now I know I can just re-register and pay another $200 and wait for the ATT...thanks for posting this!
So you don't need to re apply again at the BON... you just need to re register at pearson vue? Am i correct? I've been searching a procedure on how can i re apply for a retake nursing exam and i cannot find a clear instruction on how to do it.. I found this conversation.. Plz help! Thank u

Hello!
I failed my first NCLEX attempt. I am licensing in Hawaii and need specific info on how to retake the NCLEX in Hawaii.
From what I understand I do not need to re appy with Hawaii as the application is valid for 2 years.
I contacted the BON today to get some directions but they told me I have to contact Pearson Vue for permission to re take. When I called Pearson Vue they told me I have to contact the BON and re apply.
The lady from the board also said that Hawaii doesn't reissue the ATT that Pearson Vue does...I thought it was the other way around?! I am so confused and just working myself into a flurry of anxiety!
Somebody HELP please? Do I wait the 45 days then register again? I guess I was too eager and already paid $200 to retake now my status is marked as "new" in Pearson Vue... did I just waste my money?
Please is there anybody else with some experience on this?
