Hey guys...for those of you still struggling to pass NCLEX, DONT GIVE UP!! I just retook NCLEX for the second time this past Friday Aug 30 and PASSED with 75 questions!! HOORAY!! This time I took NCLEX, it was totally different. I used Virtual ATI, Kaplan Book and PDA by LaCharity...not to mention, I put my Faith and Trust in God!! I prayed everyday and after my test shut off at 75 questions, I actually felt relieved and confident that I passed my test...I didn't bother doing the Pearson Vue Trick because I felt so confident that I passed!! And I did. I am so stoked right now!! I think the biggest tip I can give you is to be confident and work through the questions how the Kaplan book teaches you! As I mentioned I did do the Virtual ATI because they gave me the class for free, but I ended up taking NCLEX without them giving me the green light. I don't fee like Virtual ATI was that great...I think Kaplan had the type of questions most similar to NCLEX. Other than that...I am so HAPPY to finally be a registered nurse and I already have my second interview at the hospital where I live!! Just remember guys, all things are possible through God!! Believe in yourself and put your faith and trust into God!! Everything will work out fine!

Jael11, Awesome job! I've actually been using the Virtual ATI, they let me join the class for free, it's okay. But I'll definately look at the ATI NCLEX book since you mentioned it...congrats again!

I actually went through the same thing today...called the BON, they told me to call pearsonvue and they told me to call the BON...well atleast now I know I can just re-register and pay another $200 and wait for the ATT...thanks for posting this!

That's awesome! Happy for you that you passed with 75! It's great hearing that the virtual ati helped you...I'm thinking about doing the virtual but gosh i really don't want to spend $230 for that...ontop of the $200 for nclex...and since I live on the Big Island of Hawaii and they only offer the nclex on Oahu, i need to pay for airfare and hotel. It's sooo expensive! Especially since I didn't pass the first time...but thank you for your input! Greatly appreciate it and congratualtions again!!

nsti, Thanks for your advice...how much was Kaplan to do the qbanks? I went to their site and it says like $299 for 3 trainers? I think...my instructor from nursing school advised me to take the online Virtual ATI...we used ATI during school, but I found that ATI questions are NOT at all like the nclex questions...ATI was more content based rather than applying and prioritizing...so idk im kind of in a stump as to what to study...but i did order the Kaplan 2013-2014 review book and the PDA by LaCharity...

monicaa_rn, I refuse to fail again as well! I just purchased the Kaplan-RN 2013-2014 review book and the PDA by LaCharity...hopefully they come in soon so I can start studying those and practicing questions similar to those that I encountered on NCLEX. I live in Hawaii, so committing to being a study buddy might be difficult, but we can definitely keep in touch through this forum! :)

MaisieMosca, Hey, yes it's so depressing knowing that I failed...especially when my classmates that took it so far have passed. But I know there is nothing I can do now except study harder...and I know I need to focus on Prioritizing assignments! I had so much questions like that! Where are you from? I am from Hawaii...

Hey guys, So i got my results in from my first nclex-rn attempt, i did NOT pass. I am looking for studying tips and review materials that everyone has used to pass the nclex. I already used the Saunders book and literally went through the entire book cover to cover...I had a lot of Prioritizing questions when i took the test, any recommendations as to excellent books for Prioritizing and Delegation? I need books with questions and rationale...let me know what you guys have used...I NEED to pass it on the 2nd attempt...which will not be until I wait the 45 days. Thanks!

Hey guys, got my results in this morning. I failed. Completely devastated and depressed. Looks like I'll be waiting for 45 days to retake. For those of you that have passed, what was your folks studying like? I used the Saunder's book to study and literally covered every chapter...any recommendations as to what other books I can try...I was thinking about ordering the Kaplan Nclex-RN Review book 2013-2014, and probably a book about Prioritizng because I had a lot of those types of questions... let me know what you think and thanks for the support.

MexRnToBe...no i havent. I've been reading mixed reviews about the pearson vue trick...and i don't want to psych myself out...i am just going to wait the 48 hours and pay the $8 for the "unofficial results."

Hey guys, I am new to all nurses.com. Just graduated in May 2013, BSN and just took my NCLEX today (06/27). It took me 41/2 hours to complete the max 265 questions...has anyone had 265 questions? I feel defeated and my anxiety level is like through the roof right now waiting for my results. I'm really hope I passed with 265.!! Aloha, Chassie
