RCC Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello all! I haven't seen a page for Spring 2019 hopefuls yet, so I'm creating this one. If anyone has any comments/concerns/questions please post!

To start: RCC is in the early stages of developing a concurrent BSN program starting estimated Fall 2019. From what I remember at the info session, it will be about $15k and done through either CSUF or CSUSB. They are hoping to have 50% concurrent enrollment initially, and 100% later on. They are supposed to be meeting later this year (October-ish) to discuss it. I'm excited to learn more! It's definitely worth keeping up on if any of you are interested in pursuing your BSN afterwards.

I had 75 points. I called and the cut off was 73 and they wouldn't tell me why I didn't get in.

Did you get an email saying you did not get in? Or no email at all?

I got an email saying I was not selected at this time.. reapply in January

Still didn't receive anything. Student email, right?

Yes student email

It sucks because when I went to speak to the counselor to ask how I could increase my chances she told me I was good with my points. And now I didn't even get in when I could've retaken a class to increase my gpa

I had over the point cut off and didn't get in either. What the hell is going on!?

Me too. And I had over the points like you. I don't understand.

I got in! I calculated myself at 73 points. Last semester I didn't get in, and made an appt ASAP with JU just a few days later to find out why. I found out I calculated my points wrong. A few times in past threads people have been denied because of an error in calculating points. Definitely call and go over everything! At the very least it gives you peace of mind.

This is so weird.

What email did you list in your application?

I will for sure. I am so confused! But happy for you girl.
