Hello everyone,
If you are submitting an application July-August for RCC’s CEP or traditional ADN Spring 2023 & you have questions please feel free to ask away. Let’s help each other get through this application process & eventually through the entire program(:

ohhh interesting. Thanks for the info! Good luck to all retesting!

I got invited! But I signed up to take it online because I was scared I wouldn’t get invited LOL. Nervous to take it because I feel like I haven’t studied enough ?
So my situation is really crazy! I just graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with my BS in December of 2021. During Fall 2021 I was taking 25 units at CPP because I wanted to get out and graduate already! I took my TEAS 6 test on September 24, 2021 (literally midway through finals) and I didn't even study for it. I scored a 72.4 % (which isn't bad for NOT studying). But I needed to take the TEAS to apply to Nursing programs in CA.
I said screw it and applied to RCC traditional ADN for Spring 2023. They did invite me to take the TEAS 7 with them on September 16th BUT once you take this exam its permanent for a whole year. So I have decided I need to be wise with what I am doing and NOT take the TEAS 7 and instead just allow them to use my TEAS 6 score for this application cycle, even if I do not get in I am totally okay with this because I will be applying to other programs as well for Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 and I don't want to rush into the test without being fully prepared and now have to use that score for other programs.
So with that being said, I am taking my TEAS 7 in November! I have been studying all Summer and I really want to get a great score so I can have options for which programs accept me (if God is willing)! I got interviewed in May with CBU ELMSN program and got alternated as #3 out of 15 but they wanted my TEAS Score to be at least at 80% and they wanted me to have church volunteer experience. So I did all that this Summer ?
I am currently enrolled at RCC and doing the Nurses Assistant Training Program (NATP/CNA) for this semester just incase I do not get in anywhere I can continue on an LVN > RN > BSN pathway but you know whatever it takes right !? ?❤️
I am applying into multiple programs by this fall:
CBU ELMSN for Summer 2023, RCC traditional ADN and ADN/BSN(CEP), and CSUCI BSN are all my top choices! I am going to be honest though, after being at RCC for just these last 3 weeks being in the SON with NATP, I am REALLY considering just staying at RCC and furthering my education here since it is more cost efficient. I also have the 300+ hours of volunteer work at RCH. Okay I am done now ! that is my life story LOL
