  1. Hello, for CEP applicants has anyone received their coyote ID, or any additional information from CSUSB via email regarding their Cal-state application? Thanks in Advance!
  2. Thanks for the heads up! I also got an acceptance letter! w/76 points! Has anyone started a CEP 2023 group?
  3. Thank you for taking the time to reply, sounds like you have had an overall great experience and I was just looking for that for some reassurance. I have only really talked to the advisors that help with admissions but they have all been so kind and great thus far. Thanks again!
  4. It’s Chaffey, which also weeds out students…. And I know a bit more about their program since my step sister did graduate from there. I am currently closer to RCC tho, Chaffey is about 25 min more of a commute for me. I was more so interested in knowing RCC’s culture since their cohorts are much more larger and if students feel supported by faculty. DM me if you feel more inclined to discuss specifics. Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.
  5. Hi everyone, I am a current applicant for Spring 2023, but I have also been accepted to another local CC for ADN and I'm really torn between the two. Wondering if anyone has any insight on how they are liking the program and if you feel supported by faculty and professors, what is the culture and support between peers like? RCC's cohort is about three times larger than another CC I may go to, both have great reputations and similar NCLEX rates. Any insight into the program is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.
  6. Nope, nothing yet. I was going through the thread from last years Spring cohort and it seems alternates did not start hearing back till around December 16th. I’m an alternate as well. Hoping for the best, was feeling hopeful w/77 points but it seems the application pool was extra high…
  7. Hi! I applied with 76 points to CEP but have not received an acceptance or denial or even alternate letter. I took TEAS 7 w/ RCC. Anyone hear back with similar points?
  8. ohhh interesting. Thanks for the info! Good luck to all retesting!
  9. oh geez this would happen to us LOL. Well I guess it is another opportunity to score possibly higher. I wonder what the issue was. What I am worried about is if that first score is valid for other nursing applications?
  10. Points always vary from application period to application period. It really just depends on the average points of people applying. Last application period the points were averaging in the high 70s and many people were in the 80. The cohort before that was in the mid 70s I think. It would be a good idea to talk to an advisor to see if they recommend some good ideas to boost your points. Don’t give up! Apply to multiple programs if it’s something you can do… best of luck!
  11. Hey everyone, just wanted to give a little PSA that applications for Chaffey and SBVC open next month. I know the requirements vary a bit but just wanted to put it out there in case any of you would like to apply to more schools.
  12. Hi Mary, I found Science with Susann on Youtube in addition to khan academy and crash course most helpful for the science section along with my personal notes. I really struggled with the english language portion and it can be quite a tricky section even if you are familiar with grammar. I know a lot of people recommend Carolyn mcallister but to be quite honest her info is not in-depth enough. I know some people swear by her but IDK if it was the TEAS 7 change or what but it just is not enough. I would recommend grammerly website along with bluebook grammer online for ELU. The reading portion was pretty straight forward if you brush up on topic/theme etc. For math reviewing some area/geometry and fractions would be great, it is very fraction heavy. I thankfully did not get very many conversions but still brush up on them. I did purchase the Mometrix book but only used it for the practice test. The style of the Mometrix book is for someone who learns just by reading, which is not me. Lastly, I would recommend to purchase the A & B practice test off the ATI website. The test are very similar in terms of difficulty and can help you gauge what you should focus on. Anyway, sorry for the rant, hope this info is helpful to someone! I studied for about three weeks and managed to get a whopping 84% not what I was shooting for but yeah.
  13. yeah, just for CEP. I believe it is only Poli Sci 1 (american government poli sci). I had poli sci 3 (comparative government) from another college and they said it was not valid.
  14. If you mean Gov as in a Political science course & an American history course, yes. They are both required. RCC is very specific on the Poli sci course but they accept a few courses for history.
  15. Umm I am not sure about how the logistics work for students who had in progress classes at the time of applying. The TEAS test is scheduled for the 11th because that is the deadline to turn it in for CEP applicants. If you did not apply to CEP I believe the deadline is till sometime in late September so actually you have more time to study if you applied to traditional. I think they only do a one time invitation per semester pool. I am not sure if this is 100 percent accurate but this is what I gathered from my understanding of info I have received.
