RCC Nursing Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! I thought I'd start this thread for anyone who is applying for the RN program at Riverside City College for Fall 2019! Let's all chat! :)

When I was speaking with the counselor last week she said that for the CEP if they did not get enough applicants that had the full certificate done that they would see who had those classes listed as in progress if it was like 1 or two. Then they would accept them to the CEP portion also. Because she was saying that you just needed to be able to apply to get your GSU GE certificate if you don't have it already before the fall semester starts to be able to enroll at the school were doing the bachelors portion with. But that people with it done completely would be accepted first of course. I think those people they would accept with the in-progress class will only count for people taking it right now for the winter session or a spring session.

Thanks for the info! I'm taking PoliSci 1 right now with that very hope that there'll be spots available. I had no idea about needing to get the CSU certification, though. I appreciate you sharing that with us!

Omg something told me I should’ve just applied to both but Steve told me there was absolutely no chance of getting accepted to the CEP if I had a class missing. I’m registered to take poli sci in the spring, it’s the only class that I need. I wonder if they would still consider me even though I didn’t apply to the CEP? I doubt it, but I’ll have to call tomorrow

Yea I was talking with the counselor about having the CSU GE cert. being on our transcript or not and she said that people that had not applied for it yet would have to do that. But that it was ok if you didn't have it yet awarded, just that you needed all the classes done in the first place.

Last semester when I had applied I barely missed the cutoff, but ------------- was able to change a point on my application no problem and it was like a month after they had closed the applications. But I am really happy that I didn't get in this spring since the CEP did open up. Something might have changed maybe between you talking to -------------- and me with the counselor. I did meet with the counselor on the 25th of January. Maybe --------------- thought you were asking if you could get accepted with the class not even in progress? But who knows maybe they might get enough or over the 40 they were going to accept for the CEP program. I think I might email the counselor and ask her if they did get enough applicants for the program, although I don't know if she will answer that question hehe. But good to keep things in mind and good thoughts. She could just mean people who are finishing in RCC's winter session because I know that places like Chaffey don't have a winter session. I would definitely call and ask about that though since you didn't mark yourself down for CEP.

Yes, absolutely! Fingers crossed for everyone hoping to get an email tomorrow.

question: does everyone will receive an email notice of TEAS or just those people who got highest in GPA will receive an email offer for TEAS? Does anyone receive an email yet? Im just curious. If I am not invited, where can I take the TEAS? does anyone know. Thank you

Everyone will get an email saying if they’re invited or not invited to take the teas. If you don’t get invited I would try asking other schools to see if you can take it with them because I know the teas website fills up quick. When I registered for the teas on the website my test date was 2 months after because they were filled up.
