UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Hi guys!! 

Just wanted to start a forum for the upcoming fall application period: August 15th 2025-September 12th 2025. That way we can help each other with application questions or keep each other updated on acceptance, ineligibility, and rejection.

In regards to the drug test, how long did it take for completion to show up in castlebranch? I did mine a few days ago but it still says it needs to be completed. I don't need to attach anything do I? Just worried since it's due today.

Hi! Mine took a couple days, I think 2 or 3, to show completed. It's probably delayed more than usual for you because of the weekend. I'm sure it will clear tomorrow morning.

Anyone still waiting to hear back on notifications or contacted the nursing department

Hi! What are you waiting for specifically? The last email I got was letting me know they received my acceptance of their offer. I just finished all my castlebranch things so now just waiting for orientation to come 🙂

Hi.I haven't  received either an acceptance or rejection notification .I was wondering if I am the only one in this situation or there are other people too.I have checked my emails several times

Hi! Yes the booster was just recently added to mine actually but I already had everything else (covid ones). I have not had a covid vaccine since 2022. I got the 2025 moderna vaccine a few days ago and uploaded it to the Covid (booster), covid (annual) and covid (2024/2025) requirements and it worked for me. I've had some other issues with titers so I called the school and they were very helpful 😊 I definitely recommend calling if you haven't resolved it yet!

 

 

I uploaded my Covid 25/26 to the section in Covid 24/25 and they won't accept it. Did you have to contact the school or how did you get them to accept it? Especially since they only offer the newer Covid vaccine now and not last years

Does everyone already have ALL CastleBranch requirements completed? Or are some people's still currently pending due to delayed medical appointments? The soonest appointments I could get were for the 3rd week of November due to availability, unless I go to Urgent Care which costs an arm and a leg. 

(I was told of my acceptance to the program last week Wednesday 10/29 and I immediately made appointments that same day).

Yeah I was super worried about them requiring last years covid shot because I did not get that so I wasn't sure how we were supposed to pass that requirement. I got the 25/26 one from CVS as soon as I got my acceptance and uploaded that document to last years 24/25 and they accepted it with no issues for me. I'm not sure why they didn't accept yours, but took mine! Does your document have your name, date, and the COVID brand you received? That's the only reason I'd think they wouldn't accept is not enough info on the paper.

Hi, I have almost everything done except my titers because I am not immune to any of the 5 vaccines they wanted us to test for. So I have to go through a 2 month process of getting 2 vaccines for each one and then a 2nd titer which would make me past the Dec 8 due date, however I think if they know that we are in progress and getting things done then you should be okay so long as you have everything done by the time we start school in January 🙂 I Was super worried about it too and am going to contact the school just to be sure that I'm correct on that. You could contact them too just to be sure as well! They respond pretty quickly to calls and emails and are very nice

Yes! I just completed all my requirements last week 🙂

Hey my fellow cohort 🙂 

just wanted to give you guys a heads up. I've been to Rio Hondo's nursing orientation before. Be prepared to buy the books that day. They highly recommend you do and they are expensive. I wanna say around $1200 for the entire bundle that you will need. They are also HUGE. So bring a backpack or something to carry them. You will also be ordering your scrubs that day, I'd say we need one set for each day we have school. So prepare for around $200+ for that.
also, be there early. DO NOT BE LATE! They will call you up & one year they made whoever was late stand for the entire 3-4 hours. If you do not show up to the orientation, you will be dropped from the program. No exceptions.
