Hi guys!!
Just wanted to start a forum for the upcoming fall application period: August 15th 2025-September 12th 2025. That way we can help each other with application questions or keep each other updated on acceptance, ineligibility, and rejection.
Wishing everyone the best!! 🙂

Has anyone gotten any alternate or more acceptance emails yet. It's taking too long to hear back if we are in or out .I kinda want to reach out to the nursing department to ask.

Hey fellow cohort!
so excited to start ! For those of who have Kaiser how did you make an appointment for titers and immunizations? Also I have a physical on 12/3 and I'm scared it's cutting it too close.
I know someone said the came to the orientation before, is there a specific required brand of shoes and stethoscope that we need? Are there any others things we need to buy that are required? I want to get it on Black Friday sale if possible. Also where are yall getting your fire safety card from? When I went on the website it says no openings for the next 6 months.. LOL
any advice or anything on where to get things done and how to prepare would be greatly appreciated!

Hi
the shoes have to be white leather. The stethoscopes I do know any color any design but not the electric ones or battery ones.
I do know they offer a CPR class and the fire safety class as well.

Hi!! I was the one who went to their orientation before. Once as a future CNA student (the orientation is for CNA's, LVN's & RN's) & the second time I helped set up and I spoke at it. The shoes just need to be white leather & slip resistant. Any brand is fine. Stethoscope brand doesn't matter. They also say you need a pen light & scissors. I forgot what other supplies are required. If I remember I'll come back and post it.
I also have Kaiser. I made an appt for the physical with any primary physician that had the soonest availability, I think I was seen within that same week too. At the physical, he ordered all the titers lab work, which I was able to do that day, and also had the nurse perform my eye exam and give me my vaccines. So it was all done in one day. But the results for everything took a few days to show up on the app. And I didn't get the physical form back until my TB test was completed (which he also had to order) a couple weeks later. The TB tests take about 1-2 weeks to complete so if you haven't done it, I would recommend you try to make an appointment with the first available physician and get everything taken care of now.
For the fire card, I went to LA Fire Card's website and made an appointment for an online class within 2 days. They texted me a picture of my fire card when I was done less than an hour later. My friend went in person but it took a week longer for there to be an opening. The online is $30 more, but worth it to get it done faster

I just received an email today that I was accepted as an alternate. They sent the information for the orientation and to-do lists. Does anyone know the likelihood of alternates getting in?
In the past 2 orientations that I attended, all alternates got accepted. 🙂

Hi 👋🏻 you will need to get the vaccine. CVS offers it. I'm sure you can get same day appt.

Hey yall,
I have immunity for MMR and varicella but my vaccination is over 10 years old. Does that mean I have to redo my vaccination? Also, I have history of a negative TB test and just completed another one. Do I still have to do another one in 7-21 days?
My doctor said I need the Hep B vaccine but it's over the span of many months so I'm just assuming that as long as I have the first one done and get the others in the time frame I should be good right?
