"Patience" Is Not A Word In Our Vocabulary

For those of us that are currently waiting for our results of acceptance or denial into the Fall 2015 start for nursing school, I think we can all agree that the word "patience" is not something we have.

After a long two semesters of pre-requisites, application deadline date of April 1st, final grades posted May 9th and knowing that letters will be sent "sometime before the end of May" I'm afraid that time has officially stood still!

I don't think I've ever anticipated a piece of mail so much in my life. Not even for Christmas as a child. As one of my friends says, "Still checking my email, mailbox, and waiting for the carrier-pigeon!"

Good luck to everyone out there who applied for the Fall 2015 nursing program. May the odds be ever in your favor :nurse::x3:

I applied for the Fall 2015 program at my school back in December. I only had to wait until the beginning of March for my letter and I was going crazy! Rushing home from work every single day to check the mail. It is very hard to be patient, especially knowing it is coming any day. Good luck!!

You're lucky! Our application deadline wasn't until April 1st and the ASN letters are to be sent out any time between the date the final grades posted for Spring 2015 semester (May 9) and May 30th. A few girls have called, asking for an actual date that they'll be sent and they're super vague and close-lipped about it.

The waiting is terrrrrible!

I hear ya. I turned in my application last Wednesday but it was due Friday. I am already going nuts and it has been 6 days.

Patience is certainly not in my vocabulary. I have been checking my email like crazy since we will be notified by email. They told us we have to wait 4 weeks but it has always been sooner.

Good luck to fall 2015 applicants.

I was doing okay with it up until the 9th when final grades were posted when I had time open up to think about it since the semester ended and now it's all I can think about.

Good luck to you!

Our application deadline wasn't until May 11th! Four long weeks left... It's got my stomach in knots! Good luck to you!!

I applied in April two to schools for Fall and both of their deadlines are June 30th. They don't send out letters until July and August! The programs start in September so I'm really going to be scrambling if I don't find out until August at the one school :nailbiting:

Holy crap! That's so far away! That doesn't seem like it gives a whole lot of time to prepare and whatnot. When we get ours, we have a couple of weeks to respond if we're going to accept the spot and then we have another 4-6 weeks (I think) to get titers, drug screens, and background checks done. Not sure how your school does it but that definitely doesn't give much time if you have to do all of those things.

Good luck, and I hope you get in!

Those application deadlines are so late!!! The deadline for the school I'm applying to for Fall 2016 is January 1st, acceptance or denial letters go out by March, and if you're accepted you need to have your decision to come or not in by May 1st.

I wish they would let us know sooner. I think I may just go and have my titers done over the summer so that I am prepared. Also, in my above post I wrote two to, I meant to two and I can't edit it LOL. Thank you, I hope you all get in somewhere as well! My GPA is 3.81 and I got an 81.3 on the TEAS. For the one school they just look at your pre req gpa and give you points off of those. I have 54/60 points for them. For the other school they add your teas score and critical thinking score and the points from your gpa together. I take the critical thinking next week.
