75 questions today on NCLEX

Today I took the NCLEX RN. I got 75 questions and I am freaking out because it seems like I mostly got easy questions. I studied using Uworld mostly, and I hope it worked for me.

CONGRATS! I had started using ATI but my subscription ended before I got the greenlight and was getting discouraged so I just bought UWorld. Hopefully it helps me too. If I finish the questions early, I may push up my date

Thank you! My school made us do the live review for ATI and I knew that I didn't care for that much, so I heard about Uworld and decided to go with them. In hindsight, I see now that how to answer NCLEX type questions is almost more important than knowing actual content. UWorld prepares you in a way that you learn to actually answer questions correctly even if you have never heard of the content within the question. With that being said, as you answer questions in Uworld, make sure to focus on the rationales and not the score you receive. If you understand why an answer is right or wrong, then you are on the right track. Always ask why.

Wait how do you know you passed already? Has it been 48 hrs or did you do the pvt trick?

I would not base my passing or failing off of the PVT. The State of Tennessee dept of health website posted my license number before 48 hours. In TN they typically will post your license number on their website the day after u sit for your exam if you pass. I'm assuming every state has their own timeline as to when they post license numbers.

Ohhh ok, yea I'm just waiting for mines. I took it yesterday but it doesn't look like I'm going to get the quick results until Tuesday because PearsonVue site said it take 48 business hours. This sucks í ½í¹

You very likely passed with flying colors. I'd heard through the grapevine the system stops at 75 if it recognizes the answers as all being correct. If you miss answers it throws that genre of question back at you and the questions become harder; I had heard it is possible to get to 75 and fail but everyone I'd known who had it stop at 75 passed.

Mine stopped at 75 which really put me quite at ease and I had passed. I think you did well :-)

If it stops after 75 questions it generally means you passed.

Omg I truly hope so! I had a lot of select all that apply! I took my exam around 2pm yesterday and was done around 3-3:30. So I'll check the BON later tonight!

I agree with everybody else. Getting 75 questions is most likely a good sign that you passed. Let us know when you pass.
