  1. Hey all!! A little about myself, I am an ER nurse that plans to begin traveling in April/May of 2019. I will have been a nurse for about 2 years with 1 year of recent ER experience. I just had a couple of questions to ask about travel nursing because April/May of 2019 will be here very soon. 1. What should I look for in a travel nursing company? Especially that for a first time traveler? - Do you have any recommendations? 2. When should I begin the application process? 3. How many travel companies should I work with to choose the best assignment? 4. What do you feel were your biggest challenges as a new travel nurse? 5. Should I have a separate business email/contact information strictly for travel nursing? Thank you for all your responses!!

Hey All, So I have a question for you Travel Nurses. I am an ER nurse and I plan to start traveling in April of 2019. I know that between assignments you may go back home or take a vacation. However, have you or anyone you know ever stayed employed with the facility they worked at prior to Travel Nursing and just went on Some sort of LOA? Then came back and worked for about two weeks or do people usually just quit all together and continue traveling to a new assignment? I only ask because I would plan to return home for a week or two before I began my new assignments. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you!
  3. Hey no i didn't, maybe tomorrow I'll hear either yay or nay
  4. Well best wishes to you!! I hope it goes in our favor!
  5. Jeez! Mines was so long! At least like 45 min omgg! I was caught off guard with a couple of questions. I interviewed with THREE people. So nerve wracking
  6. I applied to Float too! How did you feel about your interview? I still feel apphrensive about how it went!
  7. Hey i am supposed to hear by Friday! What did you interview for?
  8. Thank you!! Best of luck to you too!
  9. Hey I just got a call today for an interview. I am doing the Float Pool Residency however.
  10. Hey all, I just recently applied as well. I had my video interview last week. I currently accepted a nursing position at a nursing home but I hope that won't prevent me from being able to work at Christiana. Have y'all heard anything back yet?
  11. No actually it was just about side effects or what would you do if you saw certain side effects. But I would still study everything on UWORLD, your exam could be very different then mines
  12. Hi I actually used UWORLD, my ASN program offered a optional pharm course in which I did not take. My NCLEX had a couple pharmacology and no math at all. I will say that I believe UWORLD helped me greatly in Pharm, I did have a pretty good average in Pharm to have no knowledge. I did not like Kaplan questions at all, worded very oddly. But I would recommend UWORLD for Pharm as I learned so much and took plenty of notes! Good luck on your NCLEX!
  13. I actually only sat for 75 questions but I bought a banana and boiled egg with water that I was prepared to eat during breaks. I actually ate my previous nights left overs for breakfast ha! So I packed that to prevent that big crash that would happen
  14. I had the special research section also, I only did a couple and just ended it because I didn't wanna answer any more questions. My exam stopped at 75 also and I passed. Those questions were not counted in your grade for your NCLEX, it said that on the special research pop up. I'm sorry but it may have stopped you at 75 because it took you 4 hours and 40 minutes and didn't think you would have time to go through all 265. When people stop at 75 they either are doing really good or really bad. Maybe use a new study habit for next time. Best Wishes
