I would say that the NCLEX questions were similar to Kaplan. On some questions it was easy to eliminate 2 answers and be left with two really good answers to choose from which is what made it really hard for me. Actually, maybe I used desicion tree more than I realized because I used maslow or abc to choose alot of answers. It took about 1 1/2- 2 months for me to go through all of the content.
I took the Kaplan Complete which includes the classroom, Q-bank and Q-trainers as well as the review of content. I began taking the Q-bank questions and got horrible scores. I started watching the review of content videos and my Q-bank scores began to get better. I watched every review of content video as well as all the testing strategy videos. I reviewed the book while watching the content video. I did every single Q- bank question and did all but 1 Question trainer (I skipped #2). After doing all the Q-banks, I started doing over the questions that I missed. I took the last 3 Q-trainers the way kaplan recommends and 5 days before the test, i stopped studying. I went to the movies, read and did anything to get out of the house. I took my test on 3/12/07. I was there for less than an hour. The questions were really hard. Decision tree from Kaplan helped for some questions but i found that you must know the content or you will not be successful. I was a C student and I passed with 75 questions. I highly recommend Kaplan.
