Questions about Seton Versant RN Residency in Austin

Published

I have just been accepted into the Seton RN residency and can answer any questions you may have. I will also be creating a post throughout my experience in the residency. Ask away!

Congrats to all of you for getting into the residency programs.. How does one find out about where programs are?

Has anyone received a phone call or interview?

Not me as of yet. I put my application in nearly a month ago and it was routed on July 14th and still no word. How about anyone else?

I haven't. Just got routed last week. But I didn't apply til the end of July

For all you guys wondering if your chances are getting slimmer because you haven't received a call yet, I didn't receive a call until a month before orientation started so sometimes they reply back kind of late. Don't get discouraged.

Going off this threat seems to me they arent even doing interviews yet...

I received a call last friday for an interview in the OR at Seton Medical Center - Austin. The interview is tomorrow afternoon. I'll let you all know how it goes! I remember at the open house that they said the dates on the website were just dates for the managers to follow and the ONLY set date was the start date...October 17th. So, don't lose hope! Best of luck to everyone! :)

Is there anyway to check if the floors your app was routed to have started interviewing? I know interviews are per manager...just curious.

How did your interview go?

I think it went well...it was really quick though. About 30 minutes long. They said that they'd be making their decisions and let us know by the end of the week. So, I guess we will see! Fingers crossed!

Good luck I hope all floors aren't doing this...I haven't received a phone call...so....

I'm not sure about calling to check and see about what units are interviewing at this time...but I wouldn't freak out if you haven't received a call. I guess you could call HR and see if they know anything...but then again, it's only the middle of August. I received a call yesterday that I was accepted into the OR Residency at Seton Medical Center Austin. :) Try not to panic, i always think of Dory in Finding Nemo "Just Keep Swimming" until you get a call from the HR department. Good Luck to all of you!
