I see lots of posts about passing or failing with 75 questions, just curious what the stats are. I would like to think that nursing school prepares us enough that those who get 75 are mostly passing?

hi...jst took the nclex and am freaking out coz it shut off @ 75 questions and i felt like i was guessing the whole tym...prayers 4 me

just took nclex rn....it shut off at 75 questions and I had 19!!!! select all that apply. Is this a good thing? Does it mean I was testing at a higher level? I was not condifent on about half the questions. Any advice?

I took my nclex yesterday, and when it shut off at 75 I felt like I was going to puke. I still feel like crap, but I think these tests are just designed to make you feel like that. I had a lot of pharmacology, SATA, psych, and prioritizing. I felt like I guessed on most of them. This test seemed way harder to me than any other Kaplan test I've been taking. I feel like I failed, even though I studied so hard. I did about 4,000 review question through Kaplan. Their readiness test said that I'd pass. I WAS feeling pretty confident, till afterwards. I felt like I knew nothing! (Especially the drugs that were on it).

I find out my results tomorrow, but the wait is killing me. I can't get it off my mind, that's why i'm on here- looking for some sort of hope & reassurance. :redpinkhe

I'm also moving out of state in about a week...so if i fail, that means i'll have to fly back to retest, and postpone getting a job, and starting the RN-BSN program in the fall. I also majorly dread having to tell all my family and friends that I failed my boards....I hope this won't be the case and I'll have nothing but good news tomorrow!!! :uhoh3:

hoping...and wishing....and praying...

I just finished mine about 2 hours ago and it shut me off at 75. Before the exam, while I was doing the palm vein (?), my hands were shaking and I just couldn't control them. The questions looked similar to the Kaplan review questions but unlike Kaplan where nothing was at stake, this one had plenty at stake and it made me panic. I think I was in shock by the time I finished and I'm still surprised I was able to make the drive home because I don't remember driving. I'm still praying and praying that I passed because I don't know what I would do differently as I studied, reviewed, studied, and reviewed some more. All the best to all of us as we wait for the results.

P.S:1)What's with the SATA? I had a ton of them and it freaked me out.

2)Some questions appeared in two different modes asking the same thing, why?

Dont worry too much! I also had a TON of SATA and several reworded questions-I was beginning to second guess myself!!! Also took 75 questions and felt like I was in another body when I left the test center! I passed! Have you tried the PearsonVue trick?? It was dead on for everyone in my class (Dec 09)! Try it out and see it might ease some of the anxiety, but I know you won't be 100% satisfied until you see that tiny print of PASS!!!!!! Good luck, I'm sure you did just fine!:hug:

I passed!! I passed!!!

Wow, people, I'm surprised I survived till today to share this news. It's been an anxiety-filled, panic-attack ridden, heart-thumping three days waiting for my result to show up. Right now, I'm just so grateful to God Almighty for His help and for always bringing His comforting word to calm me down these past few days. All the best to all who are still waiting for their results and to those who are yet to take the exam. It is well...

P.S:Thanks Preemie2RN (Julie), your words were soothing.

I took my NCLEX on Friday and it turned off at 75 and I walked completely astonished. I got myself sick to my stomach ( I literally threw up in the parking lot) because I felt like I knew every single answer and I didn't think that it could have been that easy.

I found out today that I am officially an RN

Hi

My name is Amber and I just became a member of this website. I found it while trying to find out advice on the odds of my passing the RN NCLEX since I ran out of time at question 180. I took them on the 24th, Thursday and I am unable to get me quick results. I did the Pearson Vue trick and got the error message that my test results are on hold. Why is this? Would you not think that if I failed they would go ahead and tell me. It is kind of agonizing how they do things. I am getting frustrated, because I want this so bad and my stress level is at an ultimate high. I put all of my faith in GOD and know that there is a reason for everything and why I did not pass the other 2 times. I feel this time I was confident in my answers and don't know why I took so long, but I really want to become an RN. I feel I can really make a difference. Any advice or words of hope and prayer is greatly appreciated.
