Does Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani know how to legislate, or is he just riding the coattails of others while claiming the glory? The primary function of the New York State Legislature is to make laws. Article III of the State Constitution vests the legislative power of the State in the Senate and Assembly. The Legislature has nearly total control of the legislative process and is fully responsible for its proceedings.
When asked about his legislative achievements, Mamdani's response was disappointing. He could not provide any concrete examples of laws he had personally created to cut "red tape" for small businesses. He co-sponsored a bill that was authored and introduced by Assemblymember Catalina Cruz, not him. This stark contrast between his claims and his actual legislative record raises serious questions about his leadership. This is not leadership; it is political grandstanding. It is the classic move of someone eager to take the credit without doing the work, like that coworker who swoops in at the end of a project to slap their name on it.
What tangible changes has Mamdani brought about during his time in office that have significantly improved the lives of New Yorkers, particularly those in Queens, NY? This is a question that needs to be asked and answered.
I think mamdani's ideas are worth thinking about, but I think that y'all need to proceed with extreme caution
How many working class families can afford basic safe housing, clean food and water, basic health care and help teaching their kids how to read? Did Mamdani represent a working or middle class neighborhood when he was an alderman? Shouldn't the people who build, feed and clean the city get to live there if they want?
Socialism isn't a dirty word. However, it's a word that scares the bejasus out of the gentry. Which is where the caution comes in.

I disagree with the phrase "scaring the bejesus.” The connotation of socialism is not a word that should be used lightly. It should frighten anyone who understands its connection to Karl Marx's ideology, and Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani has not shied away from calling himself a socialist. In fact, he seems emboldened by the word "socialism.”
However, the reality is far from the idealistic picture painted by some. In countries like Haiti, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Russia, to name a few, socialism has led to mass exodus and the loss of fundamental freedoms. People had to flee for their lives and start anew in America. We, the people, should heed these cautionary tales and learn from the mistakes of these failed countries. Socialism is not a word to be taken lightly; it carries with it grave consequences.
That is why Republicans need to publicly speak out and join forces with former Governor Andrew Cuomo for a unity ticket, a ticket based on what America can be. Former Governor Cuomo needs to address the needs of everyday NYC voters and explain how he plans to pay for his proposals. At every moment, he should challenge the Assemblymember's plan, which is to legalize prostitution throughout the neighborhoods in NYC, free bus, increase in property tax, how pay checks will be less because the free grocery stores in NYC, and is a clear manifestation of socialism, expose how Mamdani is in a position to deliver but has done nothing, and demand clarity on his vision for solving NYC's affordability crisis.
Does activist Curtis Sliwa care that NYC could move toward communism? Who is he paying the money back to?

I think we should agree to disagree. Many people have escaped socialism and now call America home. Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani is the new face of Karl Marx's socialism, only instead of delivering oppression with a stern face, he presents it with a smile, disguising it under the label of "democratic socialist.” If this brand of "democratic socialism" is so promising, why have not Democrats across the country embraced it?
Yes, the cost of living is too high, but the solution is not to legalize prostitution, provide free bus services, or open free grocery stores without a clear plan to pay for them. Who will fund these unrealistic proposals? How high do New Yorker City voters want property taxes to climb? And if prostitution is legal, in what neighborhoods will it take root: Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, the Bronx, or Manhattan? We need clear, transparent plans, not just ambitious ideas.
Even Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani has said, "Trust activist Curtis Sliwa, he is honest.” Yet it is clear that Curtis Sliwa cares more about his pride and personal ambition than about joining forces to defeat Mamdani.
Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani claims he does not want to decriminalize certain aspects of prostitution. However, he is also calling for a rent freeze, something that would eventually cause rents to skyrocket and jeopardize building maintenance across NYC. When he finally faced tough questions, it took repeated attempts to get an honest answer. The canceled town hall should be moved from ABC to FOX News, with Rosanna as the moderator to ensure these pressing concerns are addressed among all candidates.

Zohran Kwame Mamdani
@ZohranKMamdani
Today the NYPD deployed the Strategic Response Group (SRG) to harass + arrest striking

workers. As Mayor, I will disband the SRG, which has cost taxpayers millions in lawsuit settlements + brutalized countless New Yorkers exercising their first amendment rights.

The more I research Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani, the more questions I have; since 2021, what legislation has he helped advance to support everyday NYC residents? Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani wants to legalize prostitution. In which neighborhood does he want this type of "work" to occur? He mentions the atrocities in Gaza, but has yet to condemn the atrocities of the terrorist group that harasses and kills Christians in Nigeria. ISIS and ISWAP (West Africa), and Boko Haram terroist grouped are linked to each other and Quatar.
He uses a campaign line stating that Amazon does not pay NYC enough, while fully knowing that such disclosure is illegal, akin to someone coming to a private citizen and asking for their tax return in the city.
(New York law strictly protects taxpayer confidentiality. State officials are bound by Tax Law § 202 and NYC officials by Admin. Code § 11-2115; individual corporate tax return details generally cannot be disclosed absent specific legal authority.)
Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani is really good at following directions, even former Mayor De Blasio said he is teachable, but at whose expense?
The timing overlaps in 2012; these are separate events: one cultural (film funding from Qatar), and that same year, an "uncle" gifted him a land near Victoria Falls (this does not pass the sniff test).
Does Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani have the temperament to be a mayor for all people? Does he truly understand his constituents' needs? It appears that he does not. Assemblymember Mamdani seems unable to look beyond his commitments to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), prioritizing their agenda over the real needs of everyday New Yorkers. His record and rhetoric make it clear where his loyalty lies and unfortunately, it is not with the people of New York City. He has consistently shown an inability to set aside ideological loyalties and to recognize that New Yorkers come from diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds that deserve understanding and respect.
Mamdani's approach to leadership is concerning. He seems to say whatever voters want to hear, even refusing to denounce the intifada when given the chance. His actions reveal little genuine interest in leading New York City beyond winning an election. If he were genuinely committed to improving the lives of New Yorkers, why has he not advanced any of his major proposals before now? Why does it not appear on key platforms or engage openly with the broader community? His lack of engagement with the broader community is a clear sign of his disconnect from the people he claims to represent.
Instead of offering bold and realistic solutions to the challenges facing our city's public safety, affordability, and opportunity, Mamdani continues to deflect blame and make excuses. New York City deserves leadership grounded in results, responsibility, and integrity —not ideology, division, or empty promises. His lack of accountability is frustrating and does not bode well for our city's future.
He is telling voters where he stands. He does not support the LGBTQIA community. It is against his religion.

No, prostitution is not good for life in any part of the city because it harms the quality of life. Instead of focusing on building the next generation of AI entrepreneurs and growing businesses in New York, Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani is calling to legalize prostitution. Instead of presenting a real plan or explaining how he will pay for these radical ideas, such as free transit, a rent freeze, and free grocery stores, he wants to increase property taxes, while failing to address how to improve the education system so that NYC kids can compete on a global level.
NYC cannot afford to fail, because real New Yorkers do not have a "Plan B" or a second home to escape to, unlike Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani.
