Hi Im a BSN graduate last 2009 in PHILS (our school is accredited). Then I took dec nle 2009 and dec 2010. Sad to say I failed twice. So presently Im now migrated here on California last Sept. 2011 (Immigrant status) and Im planning to take NCLEX RN regarding to to CA BON, it says there to pass a letter for those not holding a license (NLE passer)
My question is, what I should put to my letter or my reason. Do I have to write that I failed twice or should I make another reason why I didnt take NLE in Phils?
Please help me. I dont know what to do.
Thanks. Godspeed.
Does it state on the application that by signing it that you've been truthful and honest in your statements? I'm unsure because it's been awhile since I applied to take the NCLEX. As it's been stated previously just state that you took the NLE and you didn't pass. I've known people who have taken the NCLEX more than once and that doesn't make them less of a nurse. So don't let the fact that you didn't pass bother you. What should bother you more is lying on an application. Just be truthful and see what happens. The BRN is more concerned about your education and that it meets their requirements.
they have the access bro that's all i can say..just be honest that you fail your local board.... you can just say that you fail your NLE but it doesn't obliged you to say how many times... here... they will not really check if you really fail BUT they have the access. It would be unfair for you to be rejected in CALI if that's the reason (not passing NLE) ,this is just a suggestion, you have the last say ...if you wanna tell CALI that you didn't take NLE and follow your friend that's ok ..just weigh things out bro.. but ask for me, i'll just state to the letter that:
I don't have a license in the Philippines since i didn't pass the Philippine Board exam
thats it.. simple ,yet it ans the question of CALI.. but still bro YOU HAVE THE LAST SAY... Goodluck bro...
Just state the facts, tell them honestly that you took the exam but failed to pass it. there are too many of us who doesnt have a Phil License for certain reasons. It would be a shame if you would lie and later be found. They can file a case against you if u lie and find out that you lie to them.
before u apply to cali, do look at ur PRC CASES!
let me share you my story, I applied last year, had too many requirements to turn in to them, got eligibility, had the chance to take the exam, failed it, re-applied after 45 days, now still in the process of having the eligibility. application is still pending coz i have to re-enroll, coz apparently my PRC cases was not done during the lectures.

Where do you want to work and live? Pick a state and then go to that state's Boards to see what the requirements are. Each state has their own requirements applicants have to undertake and achieve in order to be eligible to sit for the NCLEX.
Good luck!
