i got a springhouse cd: nclex 3000 from a friend. i thought it was ok. i preferred the saunders cd though. i know that springhouse has a lot of different test categories & ways to create your own test, but still i preferred saunders. good luck.

If you want my opinion, stick with Saunders.

I have to agree with Suzanne. I've practiced with few different books, like Kaplan, Mosby's flash cards and Saunders comprehensive review. I am soooo thankful to the Saunders book because i learned from it few things i had on my test.

In general, its very teaching, helpful and close-to-test pattern. I highly recommend it!

I like the NCLEX3000. I use it and think it's great. I also have Saunders too. I would say they are about the same. Saunders does cover more content areas but if you have the NCLEX3000 go ahead and use it. I like NCLEX3000 because when you do the NCLEX style exams at the end it breaks down every area for you so you can analyze your weakness. It also has graphs on it to track your progress.

I use the Saunders more but the NCLEX3000 to identify weaknesses.

Good luck!

:) Thanks Manyrn, Well sincerely i like the format of the nclex 3000, but my concern is that that review isn't current with those new style question on the nclex like fill in the blank, prioritizing, ect. I also have Saunders, Lippincotts, kaplan and a nclex 250 new format questions. Thanks God i haven't an nclex-date yet! :uhoh21: i feel very anxious sometimes...but i need to pass on my first try.

ohh, is there a current nclex review 3000( 2004-05)? Mine is 2000......

Thanks again Bori

I have the NCLEX 3000 but I know the NCLEX3500 is out. Same questions as the 3500 with just an extra 500 questions.

Good luck!!! Take a pretest to identify your weaknesses

The type of question format does not matter at all, it is how well that you actually understand the content.

I used the NCLEX 3000 and really liked it. I used the graph as well to track my progress (it holds results of 10 quizzes). I would do 10 quizzes of one subject area & print it to track my competency level before moving on to a new subject area. The rationales are also explained well.

I did use the NCSBN site and did all their practice questions/review, and also used the NCLEX-RN 250 New-Format Questions--a small book by Lippincott.

Didn't use Saunders/Kaplan--still passed :).

You can even use a combination of material....Our school instuctors and the professors from a week long review course I attended all suggested that we DIDN'T just stick to one review. Use what works well for YOU.

Good luck with your review and practice questions--you're doing it & that's what counts :)!!

hi there. i think that nclex review 3000 is basically just content/fact questions. i wouldn't really recommend it. i think if you use kaplan, or kaplans q-bank you will be more successful. kaplan uses the same style questions as the nclex. i think the q-bank is great because for the price you get 1000 questions, and you can create you "own" test based on different categories. i took both the class and used q-bank and i passed in july. good luck.
