Question about A&P 1

Hi,

I started buying some items to pre-study for the same class. I bought Anatomy and Physiology for Dummies (I love those books, they are a easy read and give good info) as well as Anatomy flashcards. I really liked these.

OMG!! check out A&P notes posted by polka-dot here on allnurses.com, go under the students tab and click on pre-nursing, look at a red thumb tack that is titled "A&P...my brain to yours". She has THE BEST notes and I used these to pre-read and review BEFORE I started A&P. Was a BIG help before, during, and after!!!!

Actually the best extra material I found was at Barnes and Noble's bookstore...they have a line of books..Biology for dummies, Chemistry for dummies ect. That while they are not real in depth do cover the basics in very amusing and informative ways.

KHAN ACADEMY! The BEST youtube channel for math, and step by step instructions/explanations. Still not an all inclusive thing, but watching some of the videos over and over especially helped me understand the function of nephrons, the heart, the cells etc. It's all about repetition and visuals for me.

i am taking A&P 1 in the fall too. I read through the notes and planning to start reading through the textbook as well, just to make myself familiar with the information. I also bought netter flash cards and coloring book. the school where i will be applying is extremly competitive, so nothing less than A is not gonna fly. No pressure, no pressure at all

I am taking A & P now. My sister started classes last year and I should have started to prepare myself then. I was able to locate the paste notes but wanted to see about the notes that were to big to post. Thanks for being diligent in trying to help. The following systems are what I am looking for. Spinal Cord & PNS Hearing & Equilibrium Endocrine System Overview Lymphatic System (beyond what is provided below) The Heart Cardiac Physiology Reproductive System. Thanks again
