Hi guys, just wondering what is the new PVT trick? My friend is taking her boards next week, we're both from California. I know there's a thread here saying the new PVT trick,
is the good and bad pop up still there?
Thank you!

Check out the NCLEX Discussion Forum under the Students tab. It is covered ad nauseam, lol.

I made a guide there like a week ago, based on another site. Give it a shot, and see if it works.

The good/bad/neutral popups are still there. The new process requires that you enter credit card info and click "submit" before you will get to the "results" that we're used to. The problem is that you must enter a valid card number. The system will check to be certain that the card number is valid during the payment process. It will also attempt to collect money from you if you have failed. Too many "card declined" results will most likely result in them taking notice and eventually finding a way to shut that down or potentially go after you.
As akula said, you need a card to get passed te credit card step. Check my guide, it has an explanation for how to use a free card online. So you dont have to risk your own card.
where your guide? :)
3rd post in the thread. Here it is again.

just took my nclex yesterday I have my interim permit and that shows up on the CA breeze website. I am getting the "bad" message from pearson vue but only check 30 minutes after my test, but now when I look on breeze it says my interim is valid, but my -RN is cancelled. Any idea what that means? Thanks!
The cancelled RN application just means they're probably working on it. Regardless of pass/fail status, they'll shortly officially notice that you have taken the NCLEX. Once that happens, they'll cancel your IP and it will no longer be valid. Hopefully when you checked using the new PVT, you didn't end up paying $200... because it was probably too soon to be very certain that you have passed or failed the exam. The NCLEX is scored twice and that second scoring probably normally occurs around 24 hours and no later than 48 hours after the exam has been taken. It's that 2nd scoring that is definitive for pass/fail purposes.
Back in August, they changed things up a bit. The old way doesn't work any longer. The old one either gave you the good popup or it would take you to the credit card page. The new way takes you directly to the credit card page and you must input a valid credit card number and basically register for another attempt at the exam. You must then click "submit" and that's where the magic happens. It will either attempt to bill you $200 (fail) or it will tell you that another registration can not be made at this time... if it says results are on hold, that's inconclusive and you'll have to try again later, no matter what else is on that screen at the time.
