PVT Payment Declined NCLEX PN 2015 CA

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi guys. Recently took the CA nclex pn 2015 for the first time on January 31, 2015. I did not feel confident walking out the test center at all. I got all the 205 questions. After the test, everything just seemed like a blur, I really thought I failed. My confidence is down in the dumps right now. I got 35+ sata, 3 math, 3 drag and drop, lots of priority, who would you see first, and lots of those conference questions, lots of meds. Has anybody felt like this too? :'( Its been a few days since the test and I told myself that I would not try the trick and just wait for the official result. But unfortunately im from CA and CA does not participate with quick results. Who has the guts to wait for 3+ weeks for the official results for this kind of test?! The anxiety was killing me. So i gave in and tried the "PV Trick" that i've been reading and hearing everywhere. I used a valid debit card that i dont use that only has few bucks in it. Hit submit then BAM, "The payment was declined. Reason: Attempt to connect to issuing bank is unsuccessful. Please reenter a different card or try again later". My heart sank. Obviously I didnt get the 'good pop-up' that everyone seems to be getting. Payment declined, meaning that the computer knows that I failed and is trying to reschedule my test but there is something wrong with the card. Has anybody got a pop up like this too? Like got a pop up like this and actually passed? Any insight or info would be helpful guys. Now I know that this post is one of the hundred PVT posted here daily and some people find it annoying, but sorry guys I just had to post this so i can get some answers and calm my nerves down. Thanks guys.

What on earth are you talking about?? Several hours is not too early to do PVT the suggested time to wait is an hour. Also if you use a card with little or no funds on it you won't be charged if you did fail (or pass but still got charged) it doesn't take a lot of effort to use your brain

Sorry but the NCLEX is scored twice. Not with in an hour but within 24 hours. It may be sooner than 24 hours hence why some candidates living in states where passing the NCLEX is the very last step in the process may have a license poster in 18 or 20 hours post NCLEX. The risk of a false positive or false negative is highest in the first 24 hours of using the registration glitch aka the pvt.

Sadly several have tried within the first 24 hours of sitting the NCLEX and were charged for a new exam. Later discovering their name on the BoN website having passed but out $200 as there are no refunds once you click submit. Or worse celebrating passing only to be notified of a failure. Some post publicly (claiming the pvt is broken) others send us private messages too embarrassed to post publicly of the issue.

It's still a system glitch that you risk $200 if trying early. Many are getting invalid card when attempting to change a digit or the expiration date as they are using a invalid card information adding more confusion to the mix

First of all maybe those students get their results sooner because the state in which they live participates in "quick results" as to where California does not. Secondly as far asCalifornia goes, your name doesn't just get posted to the BONs site without paying the additional $150 license fee FIRST.

Also you would not use an invalid card number to attempt re registering. Always use a valid card like a pre paid debit card with minimal funds if u cannot make a payment if you failed. If u passed it won't post anyhow

Who suggests one hour? You can do it literally minutes after completion of your test, it is just as inaccurate at that point as it is at one hour, though.

And the second bolding was just rude.

I'm sorry you aren't understanding what I and the other member who took the time to explain it are telling you. You still don't understand why relying on ONE SCORE, the one you initially guessed at with your first PVT attempt at only "several hours" after your test.

At this point it doesn't matter for you, as you're now done. It DOES matter for all the people who will be misled by your incorrect assumptions, and DO get charged....or if they don't get charged, still have the heartache of believing one 'result' when it's really another.

That's all.

dmavs360,

Thank you for taking the time to post "the bad popup" experience you had. There is not many testimonials or stories shared on here with a bad popup. I am one to witness, just re-took my test with only 135 questions, in 3 hours and I got the bad popup, minutes after taking the exam. I had a horrible feeling, over 30 med questions, tons and tons of nursing staff education, conference education, priority, and 2 calculation questions. 2 ekg strips and over 30 SATA questions and 2 place in order questions. A few psych and different specialty questions. SATA's came one after another. I read over hundreds of posts that PVT good popup, and very small chance of bad popup switching up later to a good popup, or resulting in a false negative. I know, life moves on and it's time to get back up and study. I am in Cali and not sure how many days or weeks to wait to check the BRN online. Any afterthoughts please share...

This might be someone quoting me but be assured my own quote was never in bold in fact no part of it was bold so it was not me that was being "rude"

I said one hour because this is what was suggested to me personally this is what the forum is for the post PERSONAL experiences and I've stated what my experiences were.

Just curious if you received your results yet because I took my exam 2 weeks ago in CA and got the same pop up.

If you're speaking to me...yes I recieved my rests about 21 days later I passed, drove down and picked up my temp license and my actual license came about a week later

I have a question, if you use a debit card with a minimal balance and it says decline does that mean you failed

Did you receive your results yet?
