Hi guys. Recently took the CA nclex pn 2015 for the first time on January 31, 2015. I did not feel confident walking out the test center at all. I got all the 205 questions. After the test, everything just seemed like a blur, I really thought I failed. My confidence is down in the dumps right now. I got 35+ sata, 3 math, 3 drag and drop, lots of priority, who would you see first, and lots of those conference questions, lots of meds. Has anybody felt like this too? :'( Its been a few days since the test and I told myself that I would not try the trick and just wait for the official result. But unfortunately im from CA and CA does not participate with quick results. Who has the guts to wait for 3+ weeks for the official results for this kind of test?! The anxiety was killing me. So i gave in and tried the "PV Trick" that i've been reading and hearing everywhere. I used a valid debit card that i dont use that only has few bucks in it. Hit submit then BAM, "The payment was declined. Reason: Attempt to connect to issuing bank is unsuccessful. Please reenter a different card or try again later". My heart sank. Obviously I didnt get the 'good pop-up' that everyone seems to be getting. Payment declined, meaning that the computer knows that I failed and is trying to reschedule my test but there is something wrong with the card. Has anybody got a pop up like this too? Like got a pop up like this and actually passed? Any insight or info would be helpful guys. Now I know that this post is one of the hundred PVT posted here daily and some people find it annoying, but sorry guys I just had to post this so i can get some answers and calm my nerves down. Thanks guys.

Hi dmavs360. I feel your pain. I took the NCLEX Feb. 5, 2015 in Colorado and we have the "Quick Results" and I came to find out that I have failed. I am devastated and extremely upset but what can I do? So here is my story. I took the NCELX after studying 8-10 hours a day for a month, did 200+ practice questions a day, and focused on areas that were my weakness. It sounds like our stories are similar because I got all 265 questions, a lot of SATA, drag and drops, 1 math question and more priority questions than any other type of question. Where I think I failed was with the drugs. I probably got at least 75 drug questions which was my downfall. I, too, was extremely nervous for waiting only 48 hours so I did the "PVT" and got the same thing as you did. I failed. All we can do is move forward and study the areas where we struggled the most. My weak areas that NCLEX kept asking questions were drugs, OB (newborn), and mental. Oddly enough, they didn't ask questions where you'd respond with a "and how to do you feel about that?" Or "I understand that you're upset...?" They were weird questions that were actually hard. Anyways, I am sorry to tell you think but at least you can know...but also the PVT doesn't always work...maybe you passed?

If it's been a few days since you took the exam and you got the "payment declined" then you have failed. After about 24 hours the PVT becomes effectively 100% accurate, and certainly after 48 hours it will be. What you need to do at this point is take a little time off, start working on how to porifice the NCLEX questions, and then once your Candidate Performance Report (CPR) arrives, use that to more narrowly focus your studies toward those weaker areas. While about 85% of candidates pass the NCLEX on their first try, some do not and I suspect that for many, it's probably an issue of test-taking skill problems that are specific to the NCLEX way of writing and answering questions.

I took my nclex pn today at 11:30am stopped at 85.I did the pvt trick right after the test and 2 hrs after..i used a wrong cc number, wrong exp date and wrong security code, i got a pop up that "card number is incorrect" its different from the bad pop up "payment was declined"... By the way its my second take..i did the same thing and i got bad pop up and end up failed. Right now i feel sad that i didnt make it again because of the pop up i got..but Im just puzzeled because it didnt declined my card the same as before??
Update.. I tried the trick again using correct card number but wrong code and exp date and i got the good pop up "our records" i hope and pray that i passed..
Naigem, the billing system is set up to verify card numbers, probably because a LOT of people were entering bogus card numbers when doing the PVT.
Incidentally, wait until about 24 hours have passed since you actually walked out of the building and try the PVT again. If you get the "good popup" still, then you are very likely to have passed. Tentatively, congrats!
Thank you. I will do the trick after 24 hrs..
My exam started at past 11 am ysterday then today @11 am Ive check the trick again and "our records" is still there. So im still praying that it will stay and truely passed my nclex pn.
