The PVT was never meant to happen. It was not some trick invented to give us results before the 48 hour quick results were ready, it was a computer glitch that allowed us the peace of mind of finding out early if we most likely passed. Therefore it is no surprise that PV found a way to fix it. Those of us who are already licensed got lucky. New testers are not likely to have that sort of luck.
There is a new trick circulating that basically says you can still get the good popup if you try to pay. There is a problem with this, if you put in your credit card information and it allows you to pay, there is NO REFUND if you actually passed. The PVT was never 100% accurate, and false fails were more prominent than false passes. So if you put in your CC and it takes it, there is around a 5% chance that you passed and you just paid 200$ for an inaccurate trick.
Those in states that allow quick results will have to wait 48 hours. It is 48 terrible mind numbing frightening hours, but it's worth it not to pay for a new registration. Those in states not participating in quick results, you should call your BON after 48 hours and try to re-register on the phone. They should stop you if you passed.
The trick was a sanity saver for thousands, and it is sad to see it go, but it was inevitable that it was going to eventually get fixed.
You can use a prepaid debit card that only has 5 dollars on it. If you passed, good pop up. If you failed it will tell you declined for insufficient funds (or something like that)
Wanted to post an update! I done the PVT with a pre paid debit that had $0 dollars on it. I got the good pop up and found out this morning that I passed. I don't think it matters what kind of card you use because if you passed then it won't go to the point of charging or declining. Just my experience!
I wrote this afternoon and just tried it. Regardless of if I failed or not, I can't take a $360 hit right now. I put in my credit card, but changed the expiration dates and security code. After I click submit payment, it tells me Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time. Hoping this is a good sign!

Yes I GOT all 265 questions. Thought I failed EVENTHough I thoughT THE First 80 questions were easy. by question 200 I was Lind REALLY. I KEPT PAUSING TO PRAY. ALL GOOD IM AN RN NOW BABY
i just had to put my 2 cents in here. I took my test feb 7th of this year and checked an hour later and it would not let me register again. I did it again about 8 times to keep checking and sure enough I passed. It worked for me.
I was wondering the same thing. I took the exam before and have seen "delivery successful", did the Pvt and it worked (Fail). However, this time I did the exam and it's been nearly 24hrs but it's only saying in my exam history "results not available". I am praying it means it's still being checked/processed. Otherwise, I probably failed again. How do you know the trick is no good anymore?
