Hello!
This will be the thread for all those applying to Providence SOCAL April 2021!
I submitted my application today. This is my second time applying. I applied for the September (didn't have my RN lic at the time) cohort but didn't get selected for an in person interview. Last time I was requested to do a video interview. This time I received a self paced text only interview.
Best of luck to everyone ?

I interviewed for ED at St. Joe's this week (external, new grad), and I am scheduled to take my NCLEX next Thursday 2/18. I got my ATT 1/20 and I applied to the BRN on 12/12/2020
Best of luck!
If you don’t mind sharing, what kind of questions did they ask you? Behavior or clinical?

So I interviewed with an ED Nurse Educator, Trauma Nurse Lead, and Charge RN. They were super kind and easy to talk to. The questions were 80% behavioral, 10% Prioritization, 10% Why should you chose Providence (and why Providence should choose you). There were no clinical knowledge-based questions, which surprised me! I believe this is true for all specialties/departments.
I hope this helps!

Thanks!
@Kellz oops! I meant to say there were NO clinical knowledge-based questions! Ahhh, sorry... that one little word makes a huge difference LOL.
Edited original comment as well:

Applied to the BRN 11/27/20, application finally approved on 2/11/21 (yesterday), no ATT yet. :( Hopefully, that will come sometime today. I seriously feel this is affecting my not receiving any interview invites, as everyone I have asked to crit my resume said I am a strong applicant. Anyone else have similar experience? Does not having a test date as long as I am licensed before the start date, matter this much?

Yes! I just received an email from Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank for an interview on March 1st. I applied as an internal new grad and listed med-surg/tele (1st), step-down (2nd), and critical care (3rd) as my choices.

For the new grads who are receiving invitations to interview at Mission and St Joe’s, have you all taken the NCLEX or have a test date?
