Providence TIP January 2022 (Los Angeles/Orange County)

Hi all,

Starting this thread before the Jan '22 cohort application opens up today (hopefully soon!) I have all the required documents ready to submit, patiently refreshing and hoping the link to apply pops up soon. Let's all connect and keep each other updated on our application process. You didn’t make a point. That was a very poor way of trying to make a point. 
 

No one said they weren’t continuing to apply for jobs. I think you were insinuating that just because I was mentioning it wasn’t fair, I wasn’t looking for other opportunities.

No. The point was openesss vs. closemindedness. Choose the former. if you're not open to potentiality due to a "no" then good luck on the latter.

And, No. There was no insinuation going on but maybe some presumption and an honest answer to your statement of being "told" something that you inferred to be definitive. Come on!

LOL WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ? If the recruiter tells myself and multiple people that you can only interview for more than one location, am I supposed to not believe them? You are trying really hard to sound smart right now, and it’s not working for you. I have it in writing saying that you can’t interview for more than one location, ? so why would I not assume that it was indeed the truth. 

No one said I was not open to potentiality LOL. What I am open to is LOGIC. And logically if the recruiters have told MULTIPLE people in writing that you cannot interview for both OC and LA, then I would use my brain and believe that they are indeed telling the truth.

Also, if I was being complacent. I would’ve seen that some people interviewed for both LA and OC and shrugged my shoulders and didn’t bother asking why. Instead, I’m investigating it and trying to figure out why some of us were told differently. It’s called problem solving, the opposite of being complacent. 

and I’m not sitting here saying that those who got multiple interviews shouldn’t have got them, but I am saying that if some people did than those of who were told we couldn’t should have too ! And DEFINITIVELY that is the OPPOSITE of COMPLACENT.

Hey! Do you know if UCSD is still slowly posting their new grad positions? Right now it’s just a few units, wondering if there will be more.

I suppose they are "slowly" posting units as I almost applied to one of many back in Sept. I would call HR, field some questions about it and get on their radar. Always good to make a contact with recruitment and HR is ALWAYS willing to help a promising, proactive candidate.

Hi! Kinda new here! I had an interview last 11/04, too, but still no change of status. Been emailing my talent acquisition since last week and no replies. She usually replies almost immediately, IDK what's going on. Been getting more antsy.

I interviewed for L&D and Providence St. Joseph's Burbank in Labor & Delivery. Have not receive any updates yet and I interviewed on 11/3. I ended up taking another offer else where. ?

Sorry to hear. I reached out to someone other than my talent acquisition/recruiter and she said that the hiring managers still have no decision yet as to how to move forward with my application (it sounds discouraging) LOL. I'm actually considering moving to Lancaster and take Antelope Valley's offer ?

I ended up emailing the recruiter for Providence and she never reply. She usually responds fast but oh well LOL. It is actually discouraging while everyone’s status has been updated but mines still says “interview step scheduled” ?

Do what’s best for you! If you have to move, do it. I told myself the same thing but haven’t hear back from other new grad positions. The position I was offered was med surg but there’s no new grad residency. Just praying that it won’t be as bad?

Hey y’all! I interviewed with Tarzana yesterday and got an e-mail from the L&D unit manager today that someone from talent acquisition will be reaching out with an offer soon. I’m so happy! It was my first choice. I’m planning on accepting regardless of the pay. If anyone else gets an offer from Tarzana let me know! Would love to connect.
