    Public Urination! License Renew

Ok so this year, I was charged with public urination. I was out with my friends and left the club at 1:30 am, the bouncer wouldn't let me back in the club, and I made the very poor choice of urinating by the dumpster. I was NOT DRUNK or anything, I just really had to go. Unfortunately, I was ticketed by the cop for "disorderly conduct". I was never arrested nor convicted (according to my lawyer) but I was "charged" with disorderly conduct. I saw a lawyer and the case was dismissed with a 24-hour probation which was over on oct 10. I applied for a renewal via paper application which I turned in on nov 4. I have not heard from the boards and it's getting me worried. Moreover, I also included a warrant for not paying a speeding ticket and failing to appear on court last year (paid the warrant and all my traffic tickets). I have a clean record and never been arrested. Will I get a disciplinary action or suspension for this? My lawyer is confident that I should not worry and just disclose this to the board. It's really embarrassing to even write the scenario to them. What do you guys think?

Took 2nd Test today NCLEX RN

I promised myself to write what I did after I take test 2 so here we go (pass or fail): Ok so I took my first NCLEX on July 24st and failed at ~140Q. I studied for about 3 weeks for it. Near passing in all section. I studied hurst q trainer and lacharity. I didn't do content, just questions. After I failed, I took 2 weeks off and resumed to studying (about 5 weeks of studying for the 2nd test). I studied the hurst book and videos for about 2 weeks straight (really know this book, especially the day 1 electrolyte chapter). I also borrowed my friends NCSBN because she passed already and had 2 weeks left on the account, did only the question bank and rationale at least twice. Finally I did the kaplan Q trainer 1-7 (Qt6=59% Qt=57%). Reviewed all the rationale at least twice. I also have a full time job so it was kind of hard to focus. Deleted all my social media accounts (fb, ig, and didn't play video games anymore) So today I took the NCLEX and stopped at Q 78 or 79 (I don't remember). 20 SATA, 5 DRAG and DROP, 2 PICTURE QUESTION, and 1 EXHIBIT SATA. My last question was a prioritization and I know I got the question right (thanks to Kaplan). Got home, tried the pearson vue new trick, used a credit card without balance and got the good pop up. "our records indicate that this candidate has a test scheduled already...blah blah blah" Just hope I passed this time. I felt more confident after taking the exam. I guess official result will come out tomorrow or will probably they my name on BON for my name. Thank you guys ! Don't be discouraged after failing!

People share your Kaplan Scores! :D

thank you dandan. Today I went over my QTs. between the time i failed my first exam and today, I studied ncbsn and hurst pretty intensively. I started off with 3 weeks of reviewing Hurst (4 hours a day everyday). After Hurst, I went over NCSBN and getting scores (65-85%). After I finished all the QB in NCSBN, I did Kaplan and scored between 57-65'ish (I don't remember my Q1-Q5 scores). Lowest is QT7 @57% I think.

Ok my test is in less than a week. I'm considering of moving it 2 weeks from now, just took kaplan Q6 and Q7 and did 59% and 57%. Some of the questions on Kaplan are just worded vaguely. UGH! It's going to be my 2nd time! Please help!

Took Kaplan QT 7 and that was hard!!

I have less than a week =( Got a 57% on it. lowest grade on adaptation/coping and growth and developmental at 48% a piece I'm so nervous. I literally guessed in 50% of the questions, some of the ones I was sure of was wrong. I was also nervous as I was taking the test because I was only allotted 4 hours and 20 minutes to take 265Q What are my chances of passing guys? It's my 2nd time taking the test and was stopped at 140 my first time around (near passing in all and 1 above)
  12. male_murse

Just took kaplan QT 6 and got a 59%

I see it now on table of contents thanks I appreciate the feedback everyone!

    Need Advice :D

My name is Zach and I will take my NCLEX in 2 weeks for the 2nd time. I just want you guys to assess if I'm ready to retake it. First of all, I failed at 140Q (near passing; 1 above) 20 SATA, 10 Order Q, 3 meds, no math, 1 picture). My first try, I did Hurst and Lacharity. My Hurst Q reviews were 75, 90, 84, 83. I studied about 2-3 weeks for the test. Now, I studied about 5 weeks already and different things I did were learning ext, kaplan QT, and still hurst. I finished the learning ext program and average in the range of 65-75 on their QB after reviewing hurst content (I would say my average is in the 68%, I had more 60's than 70's). Kaplan QT I have 55-62 range for QT1-QT5. I will save QT 6 and 7 on the week before my test. Today, I took Hurst Q Review 6 and 7 and made 75 on both exam (one of the test had only 117Q for some reason). This scared me because I was making 90's and 80's on my Hurst, I was supposed to be more prepared this time around but I scored lower =( Should I move my test in Oct (I'm poor, I can't afford blowing off 325 per test) or should I gamble and take it. Thanks in advance fellas

thanks for the encouragement sir! I will bring your confidence with me when I take the test.

    Need Advice :D

My kaplan doesn't show readiness, where do I check that?
  19. male_murse

    NCLEX FEEDBACK

I don't know if I can post links here but just type "learning ext nclex" on google and you should find it. It should be $50 for 3 weeks, $80 something for 5 weeks, etc etc if you got 265 Q on your test, that means you were very close to passing.
  20. male_murse

    qt 6 and 7

Thanks, I'm just low on money and don't want to gamble it again. it costs me 325 to retake
  21. male_murse

    NCLEX FEEDBACK

What I also figured out is that, even if you're not a good test taker but you know content, regardless of how the computer asks you the question, you will be able to answer it My grades improved on Kaplan after doing hurst content (maybe a 5-10% increase)
  22. male_murse

    NCLEX FEEDBACK

I failed my test 2 months ago (140Q near passing, 1 above pass). I went ahead and shared NCBSN with my friend (it's good with content) did all 1300 and read all rationale. Now, I'm just doing Hurst over and over again. Good luck on your test, did you get your CPR yet? You can go by that and focus in your weak topics.
  23. male_murse

    qt 6 and 7

I'm using Hurst only for content. I bought the kaplan RN book (600 page one) and it's too much...I have 2-3 weeks more...I might actually move my test
  24. male_murse

    qt 6 and 7

I'm better than kaplan Qs than Hurst. I was getting 75-85/125 on the hurst. Took the last 2 for hurst earlier today and got 2 75/125 after 1 month of constant studying, my grades went down (I was in shock and disbelief). I did all QB for NCBSN and averaged in the 65-75 range (I find their QB to be the easiest). I don't really know where I stand right now.
