You're not stupid. Schools make a lot of money off of misleading students. Check with the nursing program you want to attend to make sure your coursework will transfer. If it won't--switch schools.

I'm a SAHM to a 1 year old...I know how you feel! I haven't been to school in years so everything is needing "refreshed" ; p I look forward to seeing what tips others share. I take a&p 1 in the fall.

Most NP programs require a MSN + acute experience and the MSNs require BSNs + acute experience. In my area at least :) Here, I don't think there are RN to MSN programs, just RN to BSN. That's all I've got, hope someone else can help. Maybe look aroun...

I'm glad you've decided to go for it :) like others have said, you can continue on for your BSN later and we never know what will happen in the market. No point in letting rumors discourage us!

Glad to know I'm not alone in my anxious feelings something that helps me is opening my bible and praying. Otherwise I'd be a mess LOL! mainly because this is so exciting and different : ) we've come this far because it's what we're meant to do!

I would only retake classes if my gpa was too low. It is a good idea to talk to a nursing school advisor who can look at your transcript though :]

I don't know of any books, but I failed the math part of the compass. I went to the college bookstore and found compass math study guides. You could visit your college bookstore! Don't cry over it anymore :)

I know the BSN programs around here prepare students for leadership and teaching careers. If you just wanna work, I think the ADN is just fine. You can always continue on for your BSN later.

I think "what if" all the time, but that's a pointless question :) at least we know now! ♡

I haven't taken either course but if I had to choose I'd probably pick the religion one! Most art courses I've taken were full of busy work bs. Haha but you could ask the profs for a copy of the syllabus before you decide. I've done that....#shameles...

I think I'll have to take a&p 2 at the same time as microbio. Like...no option. Eek! I'm glad you got this advice to get your a&ps done first!

I think you've got a great educational foundation from your high school courses. Just don't overload your schedule in college. Time management is important--make your schooling top priority and don't be afraid to form a study group/ask questions!

I agree that a lot of people drop after they see the syllabus on the first day of class ^_^ also, I'm having to take pre reqs at 2 different colleges right now. Maybe you could enroll at another school for that class

I thought about NICU but I don't know if I could handle seeing the cute babies like that! I bet pediatrics would be fun!
