    Not sure what your question is...do you mean on new :nurse:hospice referrals, or for existing hospice patients that the MD has seen. For new hospice referrals, you must have a hospice diagnosis....

    I know that morphine and ativan are the gold standard for end of life symptoms. I also know the morphine works well because of the dual effect on pain and in easing respiratory distress/air hunger....
