    WGU Transcript Evaluation

Hello everyone, I'm aiming to start WGU's RN-BSN program August 1st and I'm looking for some feedback from others applying/attending WGU. I received the results from my transcript evaluation today, and spoke with my admissions rep. I have cleared 72 ...

    NurseAshley. BSN, RN!!

I finally finished my RN-BSN program at WGU and I'm so happy! What a relief, I am such a procrastinator and I really put forth a lot of effort in this program. I love learning though, and I truly took a lot away from this school. Can't wait for gradu...

    NurseAshley. BSN, RN!!

You are doing IT right? What types of jobs are you interested in once you finish? As for me, I'm thinking of getting my MSN in education. I would like to take a year off between degrees though, because I am worn out (LPN, then ADN, now BSN). I really...

    NurseAshley. BSN, RN!!

Thank you! It took me three terms. I could have easily done it in 2 terms if I hadn't procrastinated so much though.

    Has anyone quit wgu?

I just finished (and passed!) my BSN coursework yesterday with WGU. I would suggest that you ask student services to assign a new student mentor if you and the current one don't really 'click'. My first mentor wasn't so great, and she eventually quit...

    Test question.

I would say B. Find out why they think this, maybe a family member is allergic, or they had symptoms when they were near peanuts. As for A, they haven't actually stated that they have eaten peanuts before.
  7. Why don't you shadow a couple nurses in specialties that you are interested in for a shift (or two). See what real nursing is like, and then decide. Ask family, friends, and colleagues if they have any nursing friends who would be willing. With such ...

    Physician Extender ???

I am not an NP or PA, but my hospital uses the term LIP, Licensed Independent Provider. It sounds more respectful than Midlevel or Physician Extender.

    Pay for parking?

I just started working at a very large hospital in a metropolitan area. I pay $30/month to park blocks away at an offsite lot, then I catch an employee shuttle to my building. It definitely adds minutes to the day, but at night and on weekends I'm al...

Commuter, thank you for that useful tidbit! I'm feeling a little more hopeful now, I think as long as I can put in the time, I will be successful with this. I actually appealed one of the classes from my transcript evaluation. If approved, I will onl...

Thank you for your response. Wow 50 in under six months! I plan on trying to devote at least 1-2 hours each day, (more on my days off from work) to schoolwork. I'm nervous and excited!

Good job! I am so excited to start! I was notified today that 2 of my 3 transcripts were received by WGU. The third will be delivered by snail mail, so hopefully they will get it this week. I was aiming at a September 1st start date, however if I am ...
