Definitely stand up for yourself! Just finish what you can to the best of your abilities. Nursing homes are a 24 hour facility so whatever doesn't get finished, explain that to the aide coming on after your shift and keep it moving!

I currently work 4 days a week FT 3-11pm. This includes working EVERY weekend since May! Next month, I'll be switching to NOCS 11-7am 5 days a week working every other weekend. I'm so glad to get some weekends back to myself!
Are there red flags in particular that right away makes you feel as if you should start looking for a new job? For me it's inflexible scheduling, rude management, and never having enough supplies that are essential to the job (trash bags, gloves)

My first cna job was back in sept 2013 and I started at $9.50/hr in LTC! I'm located in SW Ohio but that was too much work for such little pay! Second job I made $11/hr in LTC/Rehab. I recently was hired on at another LTC facility at $11.50/hr
