  4. Any Lpn's Working In Er??

I agree with most of your post but the reason why there is such a huge contrast in pay between the RN and the LPN/LVN is simple. Education.....even though some people may not see education as being that important.....society rewards education. More t...
  5. Any Lpn's Working In Er??

Maybe not to you Fiona59......but to me the post above sounded good enough to start a RN vs. LVN/LPN. I was just stating the obvious in reference to education and pay.

same goes for you.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...... yeah okay:stone .....................please don't turn this into an RN vs. LPN/LVN.....because in the end the RN always comes out on top....but of course with the higher education and higher pay!!!

  9. Differences (Educative/Clinical) between NP & PA

The fact is NP/PA's are both equal. The only time you have someone that will argue that fact is when they fill threatened by the other. You can try and compare the education all you want to....the whole "well PA's have more clinical time than NP's".....
  10. Concern about cheap LPN school

    Agree with you 100%

  12. Is lpn exam easier than rn?

Not trying to disagree.....but saying the LPN/LVN boards are harder than the RN boards sounds a "little" far fetched. Do you think the reason why the RN boards were easier for your friend is because he already was an LPN and had nursing experience an...
  13. If you are starting nursing school in 2005.....raise the roof LOL. I just recieved my acceptance letter today....pretty pumped right now...excited....anxious....nervous....but most of all ready. :balloons:

    YES!!!
  18. Discover Nursing is awesome!!!

I dont think that J&J is spitefully not promoting LPN/LVN's. It is just that they are addressing the need for more RN's. From my understanding (correct me if I am wrong) the LPN/LVN position was created to be extra hands for the RN because the sh...

  24. Become A Nurse (Medical Assistant???) Poster (Rant)

An RN's yearly salary is double and somtimes triple to that of an LVN/LPN not because of 1yr difference of school but rather anywhere from 2-3 more years......(read my post above).
  25. Become A Nurse (Medical Assistant???) Poster (Rant)

Here in my city in the wonderful state of Texas...........you do not need any pre-reqs for the LVN/LPN program. But for the RN(ADN/Diploma) program you need a full 1yr(including summers) of pre-reqs. For the BSN you need 2 full yrs of pre-reqs. Add t...
