For those that have taken the CPNE, is it really as bad as I am hearing? I am practically having panic attacks over it and I haven't even submitted my application yet. A lot of people are saying it isn't doable, that they are just after making money....

I highly agree! I used Sheri's online workshop and passed 1st time. Make sure you know the study guide from front to back like the back of your hand. I didn't study with anyone. I practiced by myself everyday until the day of my test. Good luck!

Everyone gets a 50% on the NCLEX when they pass. Higher level questions are given when you are doing well.

Try not to stress yourself out so much. The NCLEX really is not that bad. I studied 3-4 hrs a day with Kaplan, Saunders and I did practice questions on Facebook from Pedia and ATI. I also found some old Kaplan Qbanks and I had a few apps on my iPhone...

I used Saunders and Kaplan (the book, not the course). The questions did seem to be easy but I wouldn't say easier than NCLEX. To me the NCLEX seemed pretty straight forward and I feel that Saunders did prepare me well for it, not so much Kaplan.

I had a ton of SATA, I would say at least half of the exam was SATA.

When you take the NCLEX they are very clear that you do not get partial credit. You either get the question right or wrong. There is also no such thing as a certain set of options always being correct.

I think the only time PVT is wrong is when you have taken the exam the maximum number of times your BON allows before they make you take a refresher course.

Congrats! I didn't get any drug calc but did have to calc fluid intake.

I took the exam this morning. 75 questions in under an hour and I got the good pop up!  Congratulations on passing your NCLEX!

New RNs can do anything an experienced RN can do. They will try to trick you with new grad and experienced, just ignore that. I highly recommend you get lacharity PDA book. That will help you with delegation and assignments.

I am finding the questions to be very difficult and was wondering if others felt the same way. I scored 80 on the readiness test for Saunders and a 73 on Kaplan. With Lippincott, I've only done 1.5 chapter quizzes but so far my scores are 68 and 66. ...

I took the exam today, 75 questions in less than hr. I did the PVT 3 times now and I got the good pop up! :)

No IVs for lpns except to dc it. No venous access devices as well. LPNs can do trachs. Never assign teaching, assessing, or evaluating. Never assign unstable, immed post op
