  1. Did anyone hate nursing school?

I hated it hated it hated it !!!!!!!! Now that I am an RN and working as an RN and not a SN - it's completely different!!! The clinicals at my school were a waste of time. We learned how to be perfect CNAs, not RNs!
  2. Should I go ahead and get "RN" engraved after my name when

I don't know. You have to earn those credentials and you are not an RN. That's just how I see it.
  3. Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2

The trick worked for me, I passed!
  4. ATI RN Comprehensive Predictor

I got a 98% on the ATI predictor. I paid for a Saunder's NCLEX-RN online review and failed the predictor with 75 questions. I took the NCLEX-RN a week later and passed with 75 questions.
  5. Took NCLEX RN today!! All 265 questions and NO calculations...

You have to log onto your existing account on which you initially paid for the exam. Trying to register for a new account and exam does not mean you passed.
  6. Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2

You have to wait 2 days before you can pay for the quick result anyway so it's not a big deal.
  7. Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2

How long do I have to wait to find out if I do not pay for quick results? It says the results are 'unofficial' and I don't want to pay for something that isn't official. I am in FL.
  8. Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2

After the exam, the lady who checks you in hands you a paper with a little pamphlet telling you what to do which I seemed to misplace....
  9. Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2

Why does it take 8 weeks?!?!
  10. Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2

I took the NCLEX-RN today and had only 75 questions! I only had one calculation (fluid intake), tons of meds (I know I missed one), and like every other questions was priority! I had 11 SATA. I did the PV trick and got the good pop up! ;D
  11. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

Tomorrow @ 2PM (well, today it's 1am!) is the big day!!!
  12. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

One of my classmates took the NCLEX-RN three days ago and she told me her last question was a knowledge/comprehension question. She felt she answered the question correctly and she also passed. (= So I do not know how accurate the whole 'very last qu...
  13. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

Alright, I will keep this in mind! I didn't read this in any of my texts though.
  14. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

I never heard that. I know an emergency tracheostomy kit should be @ the bedside. -CONSULTS the med surg book!-
  15. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

Calcium gluconate is the antidote for overdose of magnesium sulfate. When asked a question on the NCLEX what should be by the bed of a patient recieving IV magnesium sulfate, the correct answer is calcium gluconate. *This pertains to the OB patient a...
  16. I'm the world's biggest idiot...

Wow! I'm sorry! I will double check mine right now so I don't make the same mistake!
  17. Did nclex-rn today, so relieved, test wasn't hard

Congrats! My big day is this Friday...
  18. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

Congratulations! I take it this upcoming Friday and I'm quite nervous. Cramming everything I can. I graduated on the 15th of June and scheduled my test ASAP. I'm worried too. I took the Saunder's Online NCLEX-RN CAT ... and failed with 75 questions. ...
  19. wondering about late decels

I must agree with you. Reposition first which may relieve the compression.
  20. wondering about late decels

I looked at ATI and it gives a list of interventions but does not place them in order!
  21. wondering about late decels

I know the first thing you do is reposition the client. However, I've never had a question with an option to stop the transfusion. I'm not sure what you'd do first. ): You could essentially do them at the same time ... just reach up and clamp the lin...
  22. Who pinned you?

Our class was allowed to choose anyone. It is tradition that a nurse pin a new nurse. Luckily for me, the person I had pin me (my grandmother) is an RN. (:
  23. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

Yeah. I hope I don't have to sit through it more than once. Safety is a biggie. I was reading if you are unsure of an answer, select the answer that causes the least harm to the patient.
  24. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

I hope you did great! 265 questions, eh!! Wouldn't you have a better chance to pass with 265 questions though? (: Let me know how you did! I am studying using Kaplan, Saunder's and ATI and my textbooks.
  25. Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??

O.O ! REALLY? I did not know this... I take my test on the 2nd of July. -scared-
