Sounds like a tough spot.... I would stick around and job hunt for a while where you are at, before making any major changes. You never know, you might get lucky, especially if you are willing to work in LTC

I just smile and ignore them. If they want to share their drama, I change the subject to something school related or excuse myself and walk away. Dont let yourself get sucked in!!
